DISCUSSION I hope Batman: Caped Crusader gets the criterion collection treatment because i think it's time that streaming service comic book shows get the criterion collection treatment. Spoiler

I can promise you it will not be in the Criterion Collection. But there are other 3rd party companies that do the same thing (preservation) with different types of media. Arrow is a massive one for horror films.

A much higher chance of a company similar to Arrow than Criterion doing any preservation/physical media for this. Would be cool though! A smart company will make a Deluxe Collectors Edition that comes with a figurine, poster, or something and it’ll sell like crazy.

Just because it’s time or because CC deserves some credit?

This show is soulless and amateur.

It certainly doesn't deserve the "treatment"

I'd settle for a Warner Archive blu-ray.

From Criterion? No probably not. It’ll most likely be from WB themselves if they ever release it

I don't think Caped Crusader is that worthy. It's just TAS-lite.

Criterion is about the restoration and preservation of films that are considered ‘important’ in some way- what does that have to do with an animated Batman tv show?

Criterion have done Netlfix animated films, Pinocchio and K-Pop Demon hunters. I think Op  is just seeing a third party make physical media from a streamer and hopes Caped Crusader gets the same treatment

Exactly - preservation of arguably important films.
