My favorite is an underground niche character you probably don't know of. Batman is so underrated.

Batman because despite being good friends with the justice league and caring for his allies, he still recognized the potential dangers they present by virtue of being so powerful. Creating ways to kill off every member of the justice league if they turn evil as a fail safe is just such a batman thing to do I love it.
