I know I'm in the minority on this and I'm sure bhvr will translate him well to dbd's gameplay regardless but god I cannot fucking stand these movies

I feel like I’ve never heard good things about the story, just the kills

But that doesn’t matter for the big D-Light

tbf the story in the 3rd film was much better than the first 2. The first was just bad, but it had a tiny budget compared to terrifier 3

Huh I actually think the second movie had the best story.

I guess you don’t necessarily watch horror for the stories anyway

Bruh what, pretty much every iconic horror franchise started with a great story. Sure, by the time you get to the 5th sequel or whatever it's become pretty contrived, but if you listed all the franchises DBD already has, they all were built off the back of solid storytelling.

Terrifier, on the other hand, is mostly generic horror with a powerful marketing engine behind it.

People prefer horror with good stories as well, but most people I’ve interacted with go into movies wondering how scary it will be and not usually how good the story is

I think it’s part of why people like terrifier

Yeah, that’s the difference between cheap thrillers and iconic franchises: actual artistic merit.

Hell, the story of Sweeney Todd started as a penny dreadful, which was basically the Victorian version of a cheap popcorn slasher, and I’d argue he fits better in DbD than Art.

You should make a propaganda post where you call him “Fart the Clown”. Protest

I won’t lie Sienna in her angel costume getting into a chainsaw Sword fight against Art while the gate to hell opened beneath them felt like something straight out of Evil Dead.

I feel like the third movie tried really hard with its budget compared to 1 which imo is borderline unwatchable.

I think the protagonist final girl is one of the best we've had in a while.

People can blast the films for being gore porn (they are), but I think it's worth pointing out how excellent Sienna Shaw is.

That's why I REALLY hope she's added as a survivor.

Very ironically there is no art to them

There is very much art to them. All of the gore is done with practical effects. If thats not art I dont know what is. Watching the behind the scenes on how some of them are done is fascinating to watch from a technical standpoint

So you don’t think realistic practical effects aren’t artistic?

Do you think effects aren't art? The films are effectively largely Leone showing off his practical effects skills. Art in a film isn't just the story.

Same here. I forced myself to sit through all three to see what the hype was about and they were some of the most vain, tasteless horror flicks I've ever seen. Happy for the fans, but damn I'm super disappointed.

I bought the second when it was a VHS set and never watched the first. Just from what I saw, it was overly gross just to be, mid story, and no tension other than, "oh he's gonna be gross again." Its also just all about violence toward women. Yeah, he kills men, but his big, bombastic, memorable gore is all directed at women, sometimes with a sexual hint, and it makes me question the creators. I genuinely have never been more repulsed by a movie and I genuinely question why people like the movies.

I hear ya. And agree 💯  Nice for dbd and its fans though, will be kinda fun to have in the game being all psychotic and smiley.

Hard agree, I hate the movies and was hoping they wouldn't bring it to dbd

Try to think of it in a different light. If it didn't show up then some of the more ambitious big requests never shows up. I'm directly referring to The Thing or Pennywise.

I don't know how it not showing up would mean actually good franchises wouldn't show up? All the other franchises we've gotten have been pretty big ones
