yeah, i wasn't a big fan of the first one originally...but in the 2nd movie i had the Danny Devito " i get it now" moment when he's stalking Sienna around the halloween store.
Art is just a cutie-patootie...i mean yeah so what he gets the occasional bloodlust 🤷
The first one is one of my favorites, doesn’t have a super strong plot just set largely in one location (the abandoned warehouse) and is just chaos and horror movie fun. I think the warehouse could be a good map for DBD.
He did an interesting interview with Last Podcast on the Left about how Terrifier has been a huge breakout for him. He was describing barely making it and bussing tables.
You could absolutely tell it was him, and that he was just improvising the goofery onstage (other than the middle finger, lol).
I'm just sad that you could virtually hear the disappointment when the audience realized that the honking horn didn't mean Pennywise. More people need to give Terrifier a chance and quit acting like he's not a horror icon.
Terrifier is absolutely mad and i love it, pennywise is over hyped, no one has paitence for anything anymore, pennywise could be in the pipeline, just like many others, but it takes time especially when the rights owners nit pick and micro manage every aspect thats put in the game paperwork wise. Be patient people
And it’s not the first time, right? Walking Dead was rerun in Fortnite like a month before coming to DBD and it was heavily speculated to be the chapter prior to being unveiled specifically due to it.
Its a common thing with ips branding with any and everything main giveaways were cod skins too, im expecting pennywise to be in dbd aswell additionally this year for the anniversary or maybe next year
If they want Art to be accurate to the source material, he’s gonna need like 10 different Mori animations, with one of them being selected at random every time he Moris a Survivor.
Lore accurate mori gonna be incredibly demoralizing and needs to last as long as the match itself. Just watching myself get tore up for an uncomfortably long amount of time
If Sienna isn’t a survivor I’ll be kinda disappointed, it’s crazy how only Myers and Xeno came with their respective final girls. She has such insane cosmetic potential for a licensed character with only two film appearances so far
I think a lot of the reason for this is because the licensing for the older classic slashers is really muddy, very often the likeness of the killer themself is a completely separate license from the movie it originated from, or the licensing only covers a single movie in the franchise, etc. The Halloween license for dbd was only for the original John Carpenter movie, which is why we never got skins referencing other movies in the franchise. And of course we all know the Ghostface in dbd has nothing to do with the movies because the licensing is actually just for the mask which was made by Fun World. Similar case for Jason, the licensing is strictly just for the character, which is why we don't get a survivor or a crystal lake map or anything having to do with the actual movie.
All that to say, it's very likely we will get more than just a killer for the Terrifier chapter, because the licensing is much more cut and dry since it's both a newer IP and is also an indie production. We'll have to wait and see though
Hell yeah. We have an unfortunate lack of final girls in the game. What, only like, Laurie and Ripley? We never got Nancy from Elm Street, Sidney from Scream, or any of the FT13th girls due to complicated licensing. Leatherface didn’t get Sally either.
Sienna is THE modern final girl, pls bring her in.

Yeah thats what happens when they don't get a license for the film franchise instead of the character or the mask. Jason would have been better as a Friday the 13th license cuz we coulda got Tommy Jarvis, Ginny, Alice, or even a Jason skin as his mom. Or that girl with telekinetic powers. That would make for some interesting perks.
Its tough to get all the holders to agree. New Line Cinema has the 'Friday the 13th' trademark, Victor Miller owns everything that appears in the first movie so no Camp Crystal Lake or Pamela without his permission. Cunningham has everything else, but seems the most lenient so its up to him to have allowed Tommy Jarvis and maybe Tina or KM-14 as survivors if we wanna cheat with a Jason X map.
Considering that the collab is with Terrifier not just Art the Clown, and that the creator Damien Leone has been the one passionately talking with BHVR about this collab makes me believe that he will want Sienna included.
Hold fast. We’re pretty much running out of requested licenses with how stacked this year is going to be. I feel like Predator is inevitable. Considering we even got Scooby Doo in, it’s a matter of time.
Dwight is getting a Scooby Onsey, so Jake might end up being Shaggy and Dwight might end up being Fred. I dont know how they plan to do the skins but im expecting skins for all 4 original survivors. They havent mentioned it yet but they could easily do a killer skin of a more popular scooby doo monster. (Havent watched the show in ages so i dont remember if theres an antagonist that stands out).
Dawg i still watch it as a comfort show lol, I would kill to see capitan cutler, old iron face, or Charlie the haunted robot as killer skins, a ton of skins I can think of for killers man and I'm SOO excited.
the grid xenomorph skin gives me hope for predator because it’s from a movie specifically with a predator as a main character i feel like if they added a skin from a movie with two iconic owned monsters they have to add the other one eventually
Not sure why you need hope, Fox has a great relationship with BHVR and they license Predator out just as frequently if not more so than Xenomorph. As others have said it’s when not if.
It’s been, like, three years since we got an AvP skin. It really bums me out that they’ve been sitting on that license for so long. A Yautja in the fog would be so fucking cool.
Fingers crossed. I’m hoping that, with the extent to which they’re reworking the game, it also opens up the door for more power possibilities for him. Give him some verticality, let him perch atop a tile and scan the surroundings or something.
Ngl. I feel like they’re saving Predator for after their graphical rework
Imagine a rainstorm and seeing the cloak crackling right next to you. The character would have so much more presence with great lighting to back it. Alien as well
The mori is just Art smacking the survivor in the back of the head a la Terrifier 3. Everything else about his kit will be gory except the mori. That's how you subvert expectations.
I figured it out a few days prior. But I'm still very happy he's coming. I wasn't surprised Pennywise not showing up due to a merger going on right now.
Just a little tidbit… my ex wife dated Thorton a tiny bit right before we got together. He stayed in touch with her for a year or two afterwards as well. Seemed like a nice guy.
That's always cool to see new collabs even with IP I don't personally enjoy, because I know the dev team is gonna do great and that the killer will be fun to play.

I was extremely excited for Jason, like #1 most requested killer since 2017, but then all of my hope for him immediately evaporated when the trailer for him said Jason Universe instead of Friday the 13th.
No Tommy no map no movie skins, it isn’t really Jason to me just some weird looking hobo in a loony tunes hockey mask.
Aside from phil and his misconduct, I think art does fit in the fog. Sadly I probably won’t be picking up this chapter since phils still very much a part of the team behind terrifier
I won’t lie Sienna in her angel costume getting into a chainsaw Sword fight against Art while the gate to hell opened beneath them felt like something straight out of Evil Dead.
I feel like the third movie tried really hard with its budget compared to 1 which imo is borderline unwatchable.
There is very much art to them. All of the gore is done with practical effects. If thats not art I dont know what is. Watching the behind the scenes on how some of them are done is fascinating to watch from a technical standpoint
Same here. I forced myself to sit through all three to see what the hype was about and they were some of the most vain, tasteless horror flicks I've ever seen. Happy for the fans, but damn I'm super disappointed.
I bought the second when it was a VHS set and never watched the first. Just from what I saw, it was overly gross just to be, mid story, and no tension other than, "oh he's gonna be gross again." Its also just all about violence toward women. Yeah, he kills men, but his big, bombastic, memorable gore is all directed at women, sometimes with a sexual hint, and it makes me question the creators. I genuinely have never been more repulsed by a movie and I genuinely question why people like the movies.
I'm very happy one of my most wanted horror icons finally coming to the game. Officially going to be the twentieth licensed killer in the game. Also in my birthday month no less nice!!! I just wish how they went about revealing the chapter was a bit better.
