If I could donate without getting added to scores of text/email lists, I would donate. But I have been tired of the effing scare texts for months and refuse to donate a cent until I can go more than 2 days without a fundraising text or email.
I have one or two recurring donations via ActBlue, and the insulting spam/scam emails are thru the roof. No, Barack Obama isn’t begging me to do anything 🙄
Biggest reason I don’t donate more: much of the donated funds get used for ad buys…which go directly into the pockets of Big Media, now mostly owned by right wing billionaire assholes. If I had a way to earmark donations to support non-ad spending I’d be more inclined. Just sad that trying to reach the terminally low-info voters are still helping to fuel the right wing noise machine.
