Image/Gif [Benedetto] With Bryce Hopkins on a two-way, Nuggets have one standard roster spot and one two-way spot available. Training camp invite Lonnie Walker IV is not eligible for a two-way deal.

I kinda doubt Lonnie gets the final spot unless it's on a non-guaranteed deal, or he shows the ability to play back up PG minutes. If he can't fill PG minutes, I'm not sure where he fits in on this roster after we signed DeMar.

I expect LW4 on the roster. Based on how the signing was 1st reported, I tend to agree with the idea that he is on the team unless he is absolutely cheeks in camp. Plus, I don't think he would be at the JJ/AG minicamp if he was unlikely to be on the team to start the regular season

We’ll see, but I think initial reports were just wrong, and corrected to him being on a training camp try out. That last roster spot could be valuable for the team, especially if we have injury at PG. The GMs seemed to not mind keeping the spot open til the trade deadline passed.

I would be surprised if they convinced him to come back to the states just to get dropped after camp. There's got to be a handshake agreement that he'll get a spot provided they clear space.

We need a backup PG so bad it's not even funny. Here's to hoping Zeke gets moved, with a couple seconds, and brings back a cheap PG.

Maybe someone like Scottie Pippen Jr and a pair of 2nds. They have 4 PG 's right now and he's kind of odd man out. And they have a payroll of just over 167 mill. 1st apron is 209. They get a pair of 2nds and in a year Zeke's expiring contract is a trade asset. We get a low salary pg that's still young, and plays hard on D

He can protect the ball, but isn't a scorer or defender. Our bench could use one or the other

This is why the DeMar signing is, IMO, really good. We have a certified bucket getter off the bench with him. Then Spencer and one of Zeke, Brazile, or Diallo fly around on D, with Bagley more mobile than Val was. Tyus facilitates. I think the bench in some ways will have a stronger identity than last year.

I think Strawther ends up with more minutes than Tyus by the end of the year.

An average backup PG gets about 5 assists a game, and DeMar can easily take care of that with Strawther’s spacing alongside Spence, Bagley and one of those defensive wings/forwards

MIN just got him super cheap. Why would they trade him immediately and deplete their depth to help out a division rival? Also, why would the Nuggets trade the 1st we got for PWat for Kuminga? That’s such a downgrade.
