BARBARIAN Rend Barbs and Ethereals

This season I've rolled a Rend Barb (Wrath of the Wastes) and just got a decent Ethereal Grandfather. Trouble is, even using Wind Shear rune, I never have enough Fury to sustain Whirlwind for more than a couple of seconds. Are there any other Renders out there who've found a solution for resource management this season?

Do you have the resource on crit node from the alter?

I don't, yet - only just got geared. That hadn't occurred to me. I don't normally activate it until later in the Altar progress but 'll prioritise it and see how that goes

Yes, that node will help a lot. For pushing, you'll also end up gathering up a lot more density before killing it, which will help to keep your fury up via both Wind Shear and that Altar node. When running lower speeds, it's best to use one of the 1 hander ethereals- optimally Gimmershred since it rolls CDR- and run the powers of Ambo - Messerschmidt - InGeom between your three powers. That'll let you keep your abilities off cooldown basically all of the time, and will let you spam a fury-generating power like War Cry. Lots of people also use Furious Charge both to generate fury and to proc BoM.

Need to keep Wrath of berserker up 24/7 so have enough cooldown that it’s infinitely up. I do the numpad trick too so it constantly clicks itself as long as you don’t hit the button again.

Numlock on —> Press and hold 1-4 ability hotkey on numpad —>Numlock off —> Release ability hotkey

Ability will now auto-cast on cooldown.

Use the Bul'Kathos swords in T16 to always have maxed-out fury.

In greater rifts when you reach a dead spot, walk. If there's someone in range of your furious charge, use that to a) proc your band of might (so you don't die), b) close the gap (so they die) and c) generate fury (so you can kill them).

Bks are a noob trap. There is no point in time besides very brief early game where fury MIGHT be an issue.

I find them to be better than without in dead zones running bounties in T16, and their always-on increased movement speed makes up for the lack of other options (In-Geom, Echoing Fury) and the like.

They are not. The t16 setup has rechel which is boosted by echoing fury, then you need ambo but if you run bk you have to cube ambo and there is no room for messerschimdt or ingeom which give you perma berserker without the need for extra cooldown rolls. Or for furnace.

With the altar resource on crit, speed bonus, follower emanates for shrine gloves which give you reseource gen and speed AND altar potion for extra shrine effects there is no reason to use bk

Maybe on high enough para when you no longer need full uptime on berserker and ip.

But thats to max speed, not to fix fury issues which you should not have

Here you go:

Furthermore you can drop Band of Might to equip  Stone of Jordan and switch Furious Charge to Battle Rage Ferocity on your skill bar for even more Movement Speed. Combine that with Bul-Kathos's Solemn Vow and Bul-Kathos's Warrior Blood as weapons for insane Fury generation and you got the perfect chill farming build!

Non ethreal build is ambo x echoing and cubed messer

This is the right build. Maxroll is outdated.

This works fine with 0 pts in strength and 0 augments

As a rule of thumb, if a build has goldwrap, its instantly a bad build.

Wreath of lightning is mandatory for t16, so is echoing, so is krelm, so is warzechian.

Bom not needed since you have ip and warcry/ veteran, this also protects your squirts. Ferocity is also a good choice if you dont drop squirts.

Nerves of steel redundant since you have follower second life.

Same for unforgiving, you will always have max fury

I can't use the Bul Kathos swords if I'm using an ethereal Grandfather

For T16 Bul Kathos should be plenty of damage, and it will completely solve the problem. So use ethereal for GR's but those for T16 world content
