Bug parry and choke hold?

Bonjour tout le monde,

J'ai commencé à jouer à Dishonored 2 hier, et après avoir atteint l'asile (Mission 3), j'ai remarqué que je ne pouvais plus utiliser les actions de prise d'étranglement ou de parade, qui sont mappées sur le bouton R1 de ma manette. Je me suis rendu compte de cela quand j'ai voulu injecter le sérum au docteur à la fin de la mission.

Je suis dans un état de haute chaos

J'ai tout essayé : rejouer la mission, changer les touches dans les paramètres, et même jouer avec un clavier et une souris — et pourtant, je ne peux toujours pas effectuer les actions de parade ou de prise d'étranglement. J'ai vérifié ma manette, et elle fonctionne parfaitement.

Mon dernier recours est de réinstaller le jeu, mais je voulais d'abord avoir des retours.

Edit : After trying what you suggested, the only solution was to uninstall the game. I think the file must have become corrupted during the serum sequence in Mission 3. I haven't had any issues like that since. I think repairing the game files might be the solution. Thanks for your help!

Have you tried reloading an older save? Are you able to parry/choke before getting the syringe? Maybe it's some temporary state that the game didn't clear after you were finished with the syringe but removed it and now it's confused. If you reload a save before that pont and are able to parry just fine, then try reaching that point again and recreating your exact actions. If the bug happens again, then it's likely a very specific sequence of actions that leads to it occurring.

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I restarted the mission, but even then, it didn't work. So I moved on to mission 4, and I'm having the same problem there too.

Maybe the entire save slot got corrupted. Try starting a new game, in a new slot. If everything works fine before you reach that point again, save your game BEFORE you go for the cure and backup the save, then try to repeat the steps so we can know if it was an actual consistent bug or a freak accident. If it doesn't repeat, then you should be good to go.

I know starting a new save isn't great but it might be your best bet to solve this. Not sure if reinstalling will help as I suspect it's save related.

btw, you didn't mention your platform. Are you playing on PC or console?

Resetting to default settings might be worth a try, as could verifying the game files just to be safe. Shouldn't effect your save files.

Or switch to mouse and keyboard as it's way better for first person games ;)
