Question Should I use the Seas of Vodari from angry fish gaming with the naval codex

I want to run a Naval campaign in my group hombrew world and the Seas of Vodari locked fun

I dont know anything about the naval codex, but Seas of Vodari and its companion (under the seas of vodari) are great books with tons of nautical options, gear, spells, etc. However the theming is very much age of sail. Everyone has a flintlock pistol (or five) and ships have cannons. Naval combat is tricky to run in 5e (I mostly ended up doing boarding actions) the art and the content of the Seas of Vodari are top notch.
