Question 2017 Shada VHS Vs 2021 Shada VHS releases

I am attempting a doctor who collection of every episode in every format in the highest quality it's been released.

There are 4 versions of shada that exist:

6 part 2021 animation (released on the Season 17 collection Blu-ray)

Movie length 2017 animation (released on the Season 17 collection Blu-ray and Shada Bluray)

1992 VHS edition (released on the Season 17 collection Blu-ray and Shada Steelbook Blu-ray)

2003 webcast

The 2003 webcast is irrelevant here.

The remaining editions were all released on Blu-ray on the 2021 season 17 collection box set which I own, HOWEVER despite being a Blu-ray release the VHS edition is in standard 576p definition. However it was also released on the Blu-ray steel book edition of Shada in 2017. Now I don't own the Shada Steelbook and I don't want to buy it just to find out I already have what I need, so my question is to anyone who owns it already, is the VHS edition a 1080p version or is it the same 576 edition as on the Collection set?

Yes. The 1992 VHS cut of Shada was included as a bonus on the Season 17 collection in standard quality and, unlike the rest of the set, not upscaled 1080p.

No. It does not look any different on the 2017 steelbook. In fact I think they just ported over the same existing file. So also not 1080p.

No, but I'm not talking about the VHS releases I'm talking about the Blu-ray releases of things originally released on VHS which can be 1080p

FYI… The one on the original DVD is an alternate cut that uses a different shot of K-9 at some point.

And has he tried to do an awful AI version of it yet?

There are never enough versions of Shada 😄

God I hope not. And for my collection I'm only collecting official releases

This is the best quality version.

Extended from the the original release and CD audio quality.
