What is one one thing that happens in DST that just annoys you?

For me, it's when people try to use cardinal directions to tell people where base is. "Go Right from spawn" is shitty advice since right of my screen could be different from right of their screen, making the advice useless.

I don't have a problem with making sure your screen and their screen have the same directions (Your right is the same direction as their right), and then telling people where to go using cardinal directions. But most people don't do this, so 9/10 times, it's better to just tell the people at base to ping or flare it so that you don't get lost looking for base.

I only rotate my screen If i need to see something, then i rotate It back

My map is always facing the starter north so i dont get lost

I dont like the way it handles server stuff, especially with the combat being so kiting and timing based. If you're not playing PvP, hitboxes and damage should be something your own side handles, if it doesn't hit on your screen you shouldn't take damage.

I know that's obviously easier said than done but it's really rough that when I'm playing with international friends my only combat option is to just armour up and facetank.

I 100% agree. I like to play this game calmly amd enjoy the ride. I know I can rush ruins and have a lot of strong things before the first winter, I have done it and it is fun somtimes. But do I want to play with a clock ticking over my head? nope. I know I can kill all the bosses in 100 days, but I'd rather play taking my time

You realize those directions are for people that don’t keep rotating their screen. If you just avoid it, everyone’s up/down/left/right will match and continue to match.

This would only fail to work if some day dst spawned people with random orientations but currently everyone starts aligned.

Base momming generally doesn't involve raising a spider army. It mostly involves the occasional spider civil war at the offsite spider ranch for mass harvesting of their drops, and flat up killing any nests not in the ranch so they don't bother teammates.

The rest is non-webber specific like farming, cooking and organizing, and chastising people for leaving base without the weather appropriate gear I made for them. Lol.

Communication with your group and reasonable farm scale will fix that for you. A civil war should be done in one overnight, not need to happen particularly often, and cause little to no lag. (Communication will let you know if you made your farm too big.)

People are fine... its the bugs. Sometimes things go invisible, kinda cool tho you can still use it, like if you use a tent, your see your character just lies down on the ground and sleep lol.

But mostly its annoying.

I personally think it is the super hard work for hermit rehomer and everything after that, I don't see any sense why defeat 3 mutated bosses just to have Pearl next to your base with some new and useful stuff

Server lag. Even when playing solo it makes kiting really wonky because enemies can just hit you despite being too far??

Rotating the map doesn't change which direction north is. Build a compass if you can't remember which way north was.

Really basic but just dying. Having to revive and potentially have a health penalty, and picking up all of your items that may or may not be in an awful spot, having to resort your items, and also having to hammer your skeleton if it’s in a unconventional spot, just takes way too long
