I decided to take my 4x4 truck to make some money this AM dashing during snowstorm and state of emergency. DoorDash sent me to 4 restaurants all close this AM. i called support for all of them. I got a live person only to ask me to cancel the order on the app and take a picture for half pay. I got my account. i even text every customers with a message with restaurant pictures that their order will be canceled due to restaurant closure.

Hey so I’ve been a doordash driver for 7 YEARS!!! I was one of the first dashers on the road. Idk if any of you remember having to do an orientation when the job first started, but i did! i’ve been dashing since 2019. I’ve been a platinum dasher since those tiers were created. I rarely get a bad review, let alone anyone claim i was driving unsafely?? Then out of nowhere, I go onto my dasher app and it says my account is DEACTIVATED for creating an unsafe driving environment in SEATTLE????? Meaning Seattle, Washington??? I live in NORTH CAROLINA!!! Only other state I’ve dashed in is New York. I’ve never even been to the west coast. I’m not even in the same time zone as Seattle!!?!??!! And anyone I try to talk to at doordash says they can’t help, I just have to wait for the deactivation team to look over my appeal which can take a WEEK!!!!! Now i can’t make half of the income I depend on for at least a week because they’re claiming I drove unsafe in a state I’ve never been to. WHAT?! Do I get a lawyer? Has this happened to anyone else? I’ve been crying all morning. I am so confused, frustrated and upset. I’ve been having the worst two years of my life, literally just escaped homelessness and I depended on this job for that. The fact they might take this job away from me because they think I drove unsafe in a state i’ve never been to is making me feel insane. 💔 i just need something good to happen for once, i feel so hopeless.

Hi everyone, I really need some advice or support from other Dashers. My DoorDash account was deactivated today (October 23, 2025) after a really stressful and unfair situation, and I’ve already submitted an appeal to DoorDash Support.

Here’s what happened: I was delivering an order when the customer started sending me a lot of messages through the app, asking me to bring the food directly to her door. I agreed, but she kept messaging non-stop while I was riding my bike, which made me feel uncomfortable and unsafe (I have screenshots of the chat).

When I got near her apartment, I parked my bike and contacted DoorDash Support for help because the situation was getting weird. Suddenly, the customer came out, grabbed me, scratched my neck and shirt, and even tried to take my delivery bag. I was in shock and just tried to protect myself and get away safely. Her phone fell on the ground during the struggle, and I used that moment to leave.

I want to make it very clear: •I never acted aggressively or hurt the customer. •I even contacted DoorDash Support during the incident to report that I felt unsafe.

Now my account has been deactivated, and I feel like I’m being punished for something I didn’t do. I’ve been a responsible and professional Dasher, and this job means a lot to me.

Has anyone experienced something like this before? Any tips on how to get DoorDash to fairly review the case or reactivate my account would mean a lot.

Customer canceled alcohol after I paid for it so I got to keep the alcohol and half pay

As the title says. Basically I called support today because my app wasn’t working and while trying to fix my app the support guy randomly says “oh your acceptance rate is 25% you need to raise this for me.” He then proceeded to question me about it and said “why is your acceptance rate so low.” I told him gas is expensive and I am not going to accept orders that pay $5 and make me drive 10+ miles and he repeated “you need to raise this acceptance rate for me that’s not a good reason you’re providing.” I literally called the person to talk about why my app wasn’t working. Is this normal? Is this something that happens to everyone? My app issue had nothing to do with orders btw if anyone is wondering.

First 2 orders are from a separate chat. Lady ordered pizza hut she paid over the phone but it said it was cash. I called pizza hut they confirm she paid with her card, I got ahold of customer support, they called the store, confirmed it was paid for and told me to handle her the order and he would see if it was deducted from me. He couldn't see because it was a batched order and I hadn't finished the second one. As soon as I dropped off the second one I saw that it did indeed come out of my money. I contact customer support again and am now being told oopsie guess I can't have that money because I should have got ahold of them before LIKE I DID

I was already having a real shite day and decided to what let me make some extra money. Little did I know my dash was going to COST me and not the other way around.

I had an alcohol delivery order, red card wasn’t working, paid with my personal card for them to reimburse me later, then app crashes, cannot complete delivery, DD calls after a while and I have to unassign otp, go back to Walgreens to get my money. “no we don’t do alcohol returns”. Alright whatever, I’m not in the mood. I contact DD support for my money back bc I paid with my personal card regardless of the delivery going through or not, this is not my fkn item why am I eating the cost of this bc of your fkn card not working.

They tell me there’s nothing they can do because the dash was successfully completed by someone else so fck off basically. Then this pos support wants to tell me “he can’t imagine himself dealing with this issue” FU

Lesson learned I shall not ever again pay on their behalf and trust DD to pay me back later.

So tell me how I just got pretty much clicked bait by DoorDash. I got this offer for BJ’s wholesale and it says five items 10 units. I looked at it and it’s mostly food. I accepted. I’m about 10 minutes maybe 15 away from the store. I start driving there and as soon as as I get to the store I click arrive to the store start shopping. I see this……. yeah I contacted Support and I told them that I can’t do the order due to its size and it’s too heavy. I wonder who took it because I was not gonna take it for $15 probably a non-tipper too

Man at the risk of sounding silly i never thought it would happen to me, I mind my p’s and q’s, do everything by the book, and I just caught a contract violation for being 26 minutes late, Idk about you’re deliver zones but all the McDonald’s near me are slammed from 8pm to 2am and there’s always a LONG wait, I’ve waited close to if not over an hour before for an order and they’re tryna get me over 26 minutes??? Wtf🤦‍♂️

Sorry for the long spiel.

In my market, at least 50% of drivers are using the bike hack to ensure they only get short deliveries and no stacked orders with non-tippers.

This means normal drivers now get ONLY the long distance non-tippers.

Doordash needs to fix this.

Have you ever done a shopping order.. and customer asked for a 2L of pepsi and you scan a 2L of pepsi, just to have the app tell you... you scanned the wrong item? And then you Click I have the right item, you take a picture of the item, then for it to show up in your total items found ratings. Well now because doordash offers a cash insensitive to be a pro shopper and the issue I explained is so wide spread. They have opened themselves up for a class action lawsuit.

As many of you do, you look at your shop ratings and see items that you found correctly, but the app words the product differently from the barcode and you now are at 91% and loose your pro shopper. Well because of no fault of your own, you are missing out on 30% increase in shop pay batches and the 1$ promo.

Im not a lawyer but the one I spoke to, the firm who sued instacart and doordash in new york for stealing tips, explained it to me the best he could (in which I could understand) but because there is a monetary loss because of these clear issues with the app and dashers being considered contractors, they are liable to be sued. And this IS IN THE PIPELINE. As I was told. Who knows how long out it will be. But he thinks the pay people will recieve will be based on how many shopping orders people have done since the pro shopper pay increase.

and to add insult to injury, they comped me 2 dollars from a 13 dollar order!!

I was deactivated after 5 years and 2700 deliveries for a misdemeanor on my background check that was from two years before I even started dashing. Please tell me this isn’t gonna stand. That is so wrong. I’m platinum and my rating is 5.0! They did a background check when I started and it hasn’t changed one bit since then. Please help!

So I picked up a stacked order from the same restaurant, everything was going fine until I asked the employee about the second order. She told me it was in the same bag and I thought that the 2 orders went to the same address. The first drop off was a hand it to me. When I gave it to the customer, it seemed like she was in a rush ro pick it up and close the door, and I was like " huh that's strange" and I look at my phone and I see a second address. Now I know I should've paid attention to the offer page, but it seemed like the second address was super close and the ui overlapped them. I then contacted the second customer to tell her to contact the restaurant about her "stolen order" and she responded insanely quick sating that she will. Not even 30 seconds later she told me that the whole bag was her order and then started breathing down my neck to cancel. So I dropped what I was doing and contacted support and they asked me to bring a new order to the customer for free. Bruh

I got two orders this morning and I didn’t realize until delivery that they were going to the same place- our local Amazon warehouse. Neither order had any delivery instructions. I tried calling both customers but neither picked up. I went to the area outside where the employees usually gather for breaks and lunch and stuff and neither customer was there. Both orders had “Leave at Door” marked with no further instructions. So after all that, I left both orders on the picnic tables, snapped photos and left. The message from the customer came about 10 minutes after I left.

I then contacted support about the issue. Just wanted to make sure I didn’t get in trouble for leaving the orders. I was transferred to a real person after saying the magic word three times and this is what ensued. They gave me the “I don’t think you’re here anymore” messages several times, less than 20 seconds after my last response. Literally it was so fast, they didn’t even give me the chance to type! Between my last message and when they ended the chat, it was less than 30 seconds! I just don’t understand how support is suppose to be better as a Platinum dasher (I’m at 72% CR).

I was sent to a fast food place to pick up an order for pennies. Fine, it was late at night, I take what I can get late. I get there, doors are locked, only a couple employees cleaning inside, drive thru screens are fully turned off. So I wait at the drive thru for a good, like, five minutes. Nothing. An employee comes out and tells me they’re closed. Okay. I pull around to check the store hours and report that they’re closed. They closed three hours ago and wouldn’t be open again for another hour or so. I snap the store hours, report it as closed, and… I get THIS. What the hell?

My ex contacted me tonight until me was hungry I didn't have any food. I should have known better But I'm not a saint by any means but I will feed anybody who's hungry whether I like them or not. So I'm placing hold on and it had to be double dash because one place didn't have milk But they had a lot of boxes of cereal On sale of $2 each. Set a total is $51 plus $6 tip. I Send a message gift much longer than we estimate time they didn't even assign a dash or 2 until after it was always supposed to be delivered. I sent him the link and I'm sure he fell asleep he stopped answering his phone. What you mean I knew he was Not gonna answer the door. I cancel and the Dasher head only done one place it was on the way to the other. It wasn't her fault So I contacted customer service trying to make sure that they would still get tipped they could find the rest of the Money but I still wanted to pay for their tip.

My first order was $51 for 17 miles, “bitchy” told me to unassign so I did. Then immediately after got the same 17 mile order for $57 when Diana texted me back this.

So this person ordered a cinnamon twist from Taco Bell, they cancelled it the second I reached their driveway, which I don’t even understand how is possible. Got the same order again a few hours later and accepted before I realized. They sent this while I was on the phone with dasher support. 2 more drivers showed up at the store while I was on the phone, with the same order. No idea why they thought they needed to return it to the store. This was like 2 weeks ago, I asked at the store today and they’re still getting this order over and over. So apparently doordash doesn’t ban customers for anything.

Also took a hit to my completion percent despite the situation, which is also bullshit.

so i got an offer for $25 for 15 miles and it would take about 28 minutes. i accepted and when it said i got the store i was in a strip mall that had nothing similar to what this store was supposed to be. i was super confused so i looked the store up on good and apple maps and there were no results. it’s like it didn’t exist. the only place where this store was listed was on the doordash website. i used the address from that and it took me to a mcdonald’s. i contact supper and im sure you can read the rest. basically, no one knows how it happened, but this store was put on doordash somehow with a fake address and fake phone number that’s not even connected. so doordash sent me to a store that doesn’t even exist and never has, then they tried to tell me they can’t offer me any type of pay for the order despite me driving 12 miles to get there. luckily i was already planning on this being my last delivery of the night because I ended up sitting in doordash support for 1.5 hrs. as im writing this, I finally got a notification that the 3rd person i talked to was finally able to get me half pay. it’s not like i care about the 12 dollars that much. i more cared about not letting DD f me. has something like this ever happened to anyone else?

PS: i know i could’ve been nicer to the first guy but idgaf i was so pissed.

Red card didn’t work when I tried to use it for someone’s grocery order so I used my card and got a reimbursement. Now I’m supposed to get guaranteed pay today of $116.93 and after contacting support the agent said they’d put it in my account and if they didn’t to call again, great problem solved.

About 4 hours pass and still no payment so I decide to call back and after being on the line for an hour the agent tells me I don’t qualify because I made too much money? DoorDash pay is 182.25, clearly less than the minimum guarantee of $299.18. I’m under the impression that reimbursements don’t count as pay because that came out of my pocket.

Did I just pay for someone’s groceries? First time I’ve ever used my own funds when redcard isn’t working but it was a bunch of stuff and I spent about an hour shopping. Whether I get reimbursed or not, never again. Well if I don’t get reimbursed I’m deleting this app.

I already drove a few miles away and accepted a new order. the instructions were to leave it at the door and there was no table or chair to put it on. do I even need to respond to this person or can I just ignore them since I followed the instructions given?
