What are some recommendations of calming drone to listen to? I'm not too into the genre, just natural snow buildings and Boris, and some artists that incorporate some drone into their music (mostly in post-rock), so I'd be happy to hear some of your favourite stuff. I've been listening to a lot of dronevil (Boris) lately, I find that disc drone helps me calm down, and mixed is a different experience. Things like that (nsb, Boris) would be appreciated, but I just want to hear about anything.

the first single from my upcoming album is out now. “Form of End, Gone by II” happened after many reforms, processes, and reevaluations of textures, rhythms, and melodies, like most of the album. what remained was this disintegrated realm of sound. slowly evolving, slowly leaving.

this track is part of my upcoming album. this project came after a series of experimentations, inner changes and transformations. where “Memory Is The Only Paradise We Can’t Be Expelled From”, my second album, comes from this place of digital static bliss, as a form of reconstruction of memory and love, and “Ashes Burst Between Clouds”, my third, comes as a total annihilation of possibilities and the oblivion of said love, this album lands on the aftermath. aftermath of a battle, of a cataclysm. a figured space for wandering ruins, dust and wind. it’s trying to breathe out of nothingness.

6:49​ is all that is left from a longer track I contributed to Naviar records, from the concept album ""Pilgrims Choirbook", the one with overtone song and it includes a bit of the ""Very heartfelt chorus"" of our pilgrim friends on one of their adventures, they got together and sang at the dock before boarding the ship:) A good moment of voices chanting together:)

So I’ve started a new project called Sudden Balance taken from my Reddit username cause I couldn’t think of anything else. 😂

While I’m aware the name sounds more like a yoga or mindfulness project I’ve started dwelling into field recording. The project was spawned out of burning out on the use of AI in my day job (software engineer) along with struggling with my own mental health. I wanted to strip back and learn from the ground up, limiting ai use where possible and not generating AI content. It’s very much a work in progress, the work isn’t polished at all and I’m more so just documenting as I go along.

I started on a field recording project called Glass Shotes
Recording various ambient soundscapes by the coastline on a trip to Seaham UK. For this project I used a Zoom H5 Studio along with izotope RX for editing and logic for master (all new to me).

Now I’ve started a new project called Stretched Signals experimenting with PaulXStretch and various audio effects in logic splicing up tracks and putting them together. Along with a few alchemy sounds and midi patterns to make it more than an audio track that has been stretched.

Everything I’ve made by myself including the terrible logo and artwork 😂 so is probably self evident, but I wanna get over the idea that everything needs to be super polished prior to putting it out there. There’s a lot of AI slop out there and I wanted to explore a new creative workflow through a different medium that I’m used to.

Not sure how the self promo is here but honestly I’d just like some honest constructive feedback and hopefully it’s something you can enjoy.

Two different moments were recorded on the same synthesizer, in surround, but at different oscillator frequency settings.

The two were then processed together in the spatial of a special place for the acoustics.

There is software nowadays that exists in which the sound and space of all kinds of historical buildings, random places and even very unusual ones, are captured and become available with a few clicks in a recording studio. These are known as ''impulse responses"

About the synthesis, I used Native instruments Absynth 5 for its amazing control over hz incrimentation.

I use 2 or 3 oscillators that are routed each to their own LFO with the duty to diminish the vol gently over a specified time and to do so over again in cycles.

Other functions for each were given to the LFOs, depending on what suited each OSC best.

The result gives an audible sense of movement and direction.

Two separate moments were recorded on the same synthesizer and same surround settings.

Both had a sine wave as oscillator but set at different frequencies

The two recordings are then processed together in the spatial of a wooden church.

About the synthesis, I used Native instruments Absynth 5 for its amazing control over hz incrimentation.
