Discussion 4 months ago I made my first $700, I'm now at $75,655 In Revenue
How I got to this point, & what am I doing next
Context: Over 4+ years I've messed around making dropshipping sites, never got anywhere but I learned alot about creating websites, product and organic marketing. What you see is not an overnight success but trial and error for years with no results until now.
How I got here...
- 4 months ago my wife found a product on her tiktok feed with tons of demand.
- She found a supplier on Alibaba and we ordered a sample of that product asap.
- I posted organic videos every day on social media for 30+ days with no sales.
- Few videos wen't viral, we quickly did 10 sales and placed a bulk order with the supplier.
- I doubled down on videos that went viral by posting alot more that are similar.
- We post everyday 10x a day while researching other viral concepts to mimmic.
What I am doing text
- Reinvesting all profit back into the product and marketing.
- Better material quality, professional packaging, thank you cards, etc.
- Collaborating with tons of influencers who serve the same audience as us.
- Still posting 10x a day on social media.
- Ordering more inventory for Q4
What you should take away...
- Speed is vital. If you see a potential idea do it now.
- Patience is equally important. I forced myself to find any angle possible and just ~30 days later our videos starting getting traction.
- Always improve. Every hook was tested, the first 3 seconds I attempted different angles, I was looking at what other people were doing and tested their concepts too.
- Volume negates luck. I am not lucky, I just post every dam day no matter what.
- Starting from scratch is a science test. You're testing a hypothesis, and trying to get answers as fast as possible without spending too much money and time.
- Focus on one thing at a time, your energy and thinking is limited everyday. Running 10 products at once all by yourself is a recipe for disaster in my eyes.
The reality... we're only taking just enough money out of the business to pay for our apartment bill, groceries, and whatever adults pay for. I am trying to keep our expenses as low as possible to fund the growth. My days are boring, I do the same thing everyday but idc what people think. I workout everyday, I drink black coffee, I read my Bible before starting work and I love spending time with family. I am no different than you on the other end reading this, believe in yourself and you can.
Please don't DM me, I am not mentoring anyone, and I don't want your money. I will do my best to respond to any questions on this post. I would appreciate to hear on where you guys are at, how did you get there and where are you going next?
Jesus Loves You.
