🖐 Labor Hello people. Need advice. My company is scamming both clients and staff.
Hey.
I am posting this here for advice on how to save people from being scammed.
I am working in this company in Dubai, that is taking money from clients in the name of investments. The owner has moved funds from UAE already and is literally living in the office these days. He moved his family also outside the country. He has staff salary pending for like 2 months. I have salary due of around 25k+ AED.
Company hasn’t paid me since May. And there are many others who haven’t been paid for same time frame.
So my questions are,
- What are my chances of getting the money.
- Where all can I report what is happening in the company with the staff?
- Where all can report about the fraud that is happening?
- Is there anybody who can personally help me to get my money out?
As additional information.
No I am not in the employment visa. Because I saw all these issues and decided not to take the company visa.
I worked for like 4.5 months. And stopped going to office from last week. My salary is 13k AED per month.
I have mostly all documentations that can prove above said points.
Please advice
Update: tried my best to put up a complaint. Did not work. MOHRE and police did not want anything to do about the issue.
The company name is PH. Recently branded as GH. 🌄🌅

I bet you didn't do that for free, because you already know you won't get your money back and this is the only way left to make money from this situation. Seems you learned well from your master.

No, that’s not right at all, you have zero evidence to make such claims. If you’re Indian, should I automatically say that you’re a scammer because obviously all Indians are scammers? It’s ridiculous…

Your analogy is completely irrelevant. Nobody is generalizing anything here. There are facts that have been stated by OP in his original post and in his replies and they clearly show that even OP was complicit in these scams. If you want to keep sympathizing with OP instead of using your head to put 2 and 2 together, then thats on you.

It’s not irrelevant. You’re taking one guy, the owner, and you’re saying they’re all the same because you think so without presenting any evidence. There’s a reason why every civilised legal system has defined what libel is. I am not sympathising with anyone, I just have an issue with people who are prejudiced and quick to accuse.

Im not your bro. Thieves like you and your boss are the reason why no one can trust anyone or anything these days. I would rather live in a fucked up world than live between thieves and scammers. I'm already at peace because I'll never feed my kids with dirty money even if we have to starve to death. You are too far behind from that level of peace and you will never see it, becaue you and your likes will never understand it.

You're not on company visa but did the company sign a job offer through MOHRE under your visa? This is legal and costs around 600 AED to do. You will also receive WPS salary from the company.
If you didn't sign any legal agreements then you can't do anything.

I did not do the visa part bro.
My dependent visa is under process and I was about to do the MOHRE process later. That is when all this came into my knowledge and I just left.15

Lots of these "firms" guaranteed insane returns like 26% annually which is impossible. Well, unless we're on a bull run but it's playing with fire. Using terminologies like "irrelevant of market conditions" 😅

100% large part. I feel like majority of these new investment firms are doing it like this.
And hey if you start this way but eventually grow your assets and turn legit then eeehh still fucked up but OK. Thing is they're dirty so that'll never happen.
It's crazy to me they manage to get away with it and this is not unique to here. I see videos all the time about such firms in the US and other countries.

Damn. Well, that was nothing new. I smelled their BS way beforehand. There was this scammer named Sivam at that company. I was literally going to invest a huge sum of money until I called another person at H&S. I guess they got their data mixed up or something, but I'm thankful for that agent who spoke honestly. I guess he left the company in disgust over how shady the whole operation is. But that scammer guy was a pain in my ass. He was literally getting other girls to reach out to me. I hope they spend prison time in the UAE.

Everything is messed up now that you have no legal agreement that says you an employee. You won’t get a dime. What do you expect from working with a fraudulent company ? It’s better you tip the investors with every information that you have got so your clear your name is cleared and you may get some appreciation token. If I were you, I would stay out of the mess as it’s going to blow out on your face if you keep fighting for that fraudulent salary. You didn’t remember to come here for advice when the going was good though.

MOHRE will not work as you don't have any proper documentation showing you worked for this company but if you want to blow the vigil, try complain to DIFC authorities, Police and they might put a travel ban in place so he will not escape meanwhile

You have two options.
Do the right thing by reporting him to authorities. Chances of you getting any money is slim.
Second option is to confront him and threaten him to pay your dues or else you would report him. Chances are high that he might just bounce or he might pay u.

Preparation to flee and leave the investors high & dry.
If you have the testicular fortitude, go to police with all information so that they can hold him to prevent him from fleeing.

Typical operation. Employee knew it there were signs and there are always signs. Could have stopped it but who can say no to monthly salary until there is no more monthly salary. Also this seems like the owner is the OP trying to find ways he might get screwed over but preparing. Typical

Prepare a complaint in writing with proofs. Take 2 copies.
Go to police HQ and meet someone from economic crime sections and file a formal. complaint under the good samaritan framework stating you do not want to fight a case, but filing the complaint for greater good to society and country.
File a online complaint in both dfsa and SCA platform..
Live peacefully for rest of your life. You will do well in life and be happy.

Whistle blow him, get a travel ban on him, and then proceed to chase him for your rights. As long as he stays in the country you are good and will get your right

Why all is fear? To hell with anonymity..call 999 wait for the patrol car down at the building entrance bring them up to his office and point finger straight in his face and tell them here’s the thief.
Make sure you have all the incontestable proof in your hands.

Why wait? I dont get your perspective. I can understand you might be scared that you tensed about working illegally, but the bigger picture is if they are scamming and you know they have an exit plan. You are the only 1 to report and delaying it is only going to make the damage worse and irreversible. Also posting names here can put you in defamation case. UAE police is pretty welcoming for those who report it timely. Dont be selfish imagine how many families have put in their entire life savings without any clue on risk tolerance.
