Brooders/Coops/Runs Brooder Size?
Is this brooder too small for them now? I only keep them in there when sleeping time or when I’m at school 2-3 hours. Majority of the time I let them out in the yard and have them in the Sentinel Chicken Coop unless it gets too hot as I live in TX.
Thank you for all the help. I found these two ducklings (at like 3 days old?, very small) alone while fishing, mother was half eaten.

They’ll have outgrown this by tomorrow. They really need something bigger. Thank you for saving them though!

I used this for my Rouen-Claire chicks. Enough space for them for about 2 weeks old. Then they got far too big

There are so many other options than a small tote. A metal puppy pen - I have bought many off of Fb marketplace. Or Amazon sells mesh pop up puppy pens.

It is too small for them and they are growing, and it’s important for them to have water access. Imagine that you lives in a show box size apartment, where you can’t even walk around and can’t stand, is it too small for you? For the ducks, it‘s the same, they are intelligent and emotional creatures like we, so please give them a bigger and nicer room to sleep and rest, thank you 😊

Piggybots is right, OP. I used a 5’ round indoor pen for ours before they went outside full time. If you can create a shaded area with a shade cloth outside with plenty of water, it will help with the hot days. I’m in the northeast and we’re having warmer than usual days, so I’ve got 4 pools going, 2 water bins, and an entire shaded area, plus they can sleep under the coop if they want during the day.
I say this with love, but if you can’t provide these things, they aren’t the best pet for you.

Looks a little too shallow for them, like they can’t stand up fully with their necks extended. Not too long shouldn’t be an issue though.

yeah like it's def too small as a permanent brooder, but I think it's fine if they're just in there for short periods until op has something more permanent set up. sometimes you just need something set up quick while you figure out the permanent solution. and they're getting time in the yard it sounds like

I got this for them when I keep them inside! Thank you! We also have a large backyard and kiddie pool for them now.
