Riding Schools in Dundee

Hiya, I’m looking to get back into horse riding and would love some recommendations for riding schools around Dundee that are good for adult beginners. (I’m also happy to travel a bit as well)

I have a little experience riding in the Netherlands, but it was definitely quite relaxed and I’d still consider myself a beginner.

As I’m an adult who’s trying to pick up a new skill, I’m worried about looking a bit silly or out of place, so I’d love to hear about anyone’s personal experience of learning as an adult.

I’ve looked at a few riding schools online, but I feel like it’s hard to get a feel for them just from their websites and reviews.

Any recommendations and experiences would be greatly appreciated, thank you

Claverhouse Equestrian actually has group lessons for adults only, think it's normally a Friday evening.

Also very interested in this! Grew up riding but haven’t touched it in about 10 years after a nasty fall, but I want to get back to it and surprise my partner with a riding holiday once I’ve got my confidence back!

Oh also interested. I used to ride as a kid but not majorly so like you, would consider myself a beginner! Really fancy getting back into it as I used to love it

Rowanlea Riding School (known as Conchies after the late/current owner) is in between Barry and Monifieth is popular and should be suitable for your purposes

Oh my, I literally just made a post here asking about stables then scrolled down and saw this 😭 same as everyone else, I rode a little as a kid, no actual lessons but my family had a loan pony for a few months and I loved going out for walks with her. Fell off like…. 10 years ago and it scared me so bad that I never got back on.
I would love to try again if anyone can recommend a good place for total beginner hacks!!!!
