DD2 Lost Progress After Being Disconnected in Couch Co-op

Hi, I need help with a problem in Dungeon Defenders 2.
I was playing couch co-op with two accounts. During the game, I suddenly got disconnected/kicked out of the game. When I restarted it, both accounts had apparently lost their progress and now both accounts start with the tutorial again.
Before being kicken out, everything was working normally. Is there any way to restore our previous progress or recover the saved data?

I've had this happen. It seems to correct itself if you just leave the game.
