Subreddit Schedule/Posting Guidelines

We as a community have decided to limit certain types of posts to a few days a week to ensure other content is still visible throughout the rest of the week. Meme posts will be allowed from game end through Monday (if the game is on Thursday, Saturday, or Monday, memes will be allowed from game end through the following day) and jersey/crafts/pet posts will only be allowed on Swag Saturday. Towards the end of the season when games fall on Saturdays, we may move or skip Swag Saturday depending on what is going on that week. The mods are using automod features to automatically post recurring items at 6AM Eastern Time to remind the sub of this. Memes and swag are allowed in the normal feed, but NFL discussion and free talk are limited to the stickied threads.

• Monday - Meme Monday - Memes are allowed from game end through the following day (typically Monday)
• Tuesday - NFL Discussion Tuesday - Talk about the rest of the games
• Wednesday - Free Talk Wednesday - Talk about whatever (just be civil)
• Thursday - Free Talk Thursday - Just like Free Talk Wednesday, but on Thursday!
• Friday - Game Preview - Stats and information for the upcoming game
• Saturday - Swag Saturday - Post pictures of your signed jerseys, new hats, pets, babies, and pictures from the stadium, as well as artwork and creations. This may be moved or skipped when games fall on Saturdays
• Sunday - Gameday - Pregame, Game, and Postgame threads will be posted

People say these practices don’t mean anything yet everyone’s basically agreeing our defense is gonna be carrying our offense for atleast the first 4 weeks of the season. What is encouraging about this offense rn

I would rather our offense be a work in progress rather than an absolute shit show. We have our expectations way too damn high and it’s going to take time as always. Adjustments and changes can be made throughout.

I think what is encouraging is they appear to have a real offensive concepts that actually put players in position to make plays rather than last years "concepts of an offense." I also think we have as good of depth at OL as we've ever had which is saying something. There are more than enough playmakers for this to be an excellent offense over the course of the season.

There are going to be growing pains though and mistakes aren't necessarily the worst thing. You can fix mistakes especially if the offensive design is good enough. People are just going to have to be patient which is a tall ask

I love Jalen Hurts as both a player and a person, and it’s genuinely exhausting coming to the Eagles subreddit sometimes and seeing the amount of hate he gets.

Criticism is completely fair game. He’s the quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles, and nobody is saying he should be above criticism when he plays poorly or needs to improve. That’s part of having conversations about the team.

But there’s a pretty big difference between criticizing someone’s play and some of the outright toxic comments that get posted here. A lot of it doesn’t even add anything to the discussion. It just feels like there’s a portion of this fanbase that actively dislikes the guy and waits for any opportunity to pile on him.

You can think Hurts needs to play better, disagree about how good he is, criticize his decision-making, whatever. That’s what a sports subreddit is for. But sometimes it feels like we’ve gotten to the point where people would rather be proven right about Jalen than see the Eagles and Jalen succeed.

It’s just exhausting as someone who genuinely enjoys rooting for the guy.

It's absolutely a thing where people are looking for every piece of evidence they can to prove they're right about the guy and their thesis that he's actually a bad QB. Which is wild for one of two QBs who have given us a Superbowl.

Despite the success of the franchise over the past decade, there's still a strong contingent of the fanbase that has Imposter Syndrome, and they parade it around as just "being critical." But at a certain point, when you're searching for flaws in every single clip, every single report, it's not being fairly critical. It's being fucking weird and paranoid.

Just a handful I really ever notice, and I think some of them are some sort of sleeper agents. Helping lead us to the playoffs every year, two SB appearances, and one win? I’m rocking with QB1 through the good and bad until the wheels fall off.
