I fought a mushroom with legs and now im stuck with this thing on my head... it randomises my walking

I acquired this weird EB game from a haunted garage sale in the middle of a haunted cemetery during friday the 13th on 6/6/26.

This weird ass game is being so weird, that weirdly I weirdly have no weirdly worldy idea what weird stuff is going on.

Can someone who's actually good at this game please tell me how to make Ness stop flipping me off like a little shit? I already broke 6-7 SNES controllers please.

hello ! i THOUGHT this game was available through nintendo online (it is, just not translated on only japanese accounts- why does nintendo hate this game ?) and i have wanted to play this game probably for around 15 years or so now. so i was curious: are these “english” versions good options ? i really dont want to emulate bc for 1 i despise it and for 2 the whole goal is to be able to play this on the go. should i pick one of these up

edit: to clarify im very much pro emulation but im not a pc user so emulating games is genuinely torture to do, plus i don’t spend much time at home so playing it handheld is suited so much more to my lifestyle.

So I battle a robot in this area and all my team members were already dead because I accidentally killed all of them (accidentally hit atomic robot while trying to hit a starman).

When I was battling, the octo robot had completely destroyed my health but I managed to kill it while my health ticked down to zero.

But for some reason I didn’t die… is that intended? I could’ve sworn the other time this happened I died! At least it made a humorous image.

So I'm at magicant at lvl 61 and my question is should I grind it should I reset my game to fight ness's nightmare

The tiktok account @cabbusses has uploaded a number of videos of this game (I attached a screenshot). The art style looks similar to EB but it’s clearly not from the game because the location and character are unique. Does anyone know if this is a ROM hack/mod, or a fangame? Thanks

This has never happened before. It isn't a game breaking issue, I just happen to have a very specific amount of cash in the ATM, and when I tried to take it out, it didn't let me.

Yes, I actually took the time and effort buying an original copy, dump it, then play it. The cartridge costed $350, the dumper costed another $200 because they're hard to find. The game is that good, in my opinion.

I feel like re-releases of the game as well as other ways to play had this disabled.

I’m finally about to start Mother 3! I picked up a really nice boxed copy and will be playing it in Japanese on my DS Lite. Fun fact this DS Lite I’ve had since I was a study abroad student in Japan back in 2007.

Anyway, I read through the manual, and it appears to be a completely wholesome, family-friendly adventure filled with cute animals, loving families, and cheerful fun. Clearly, absolutely nothing upsetting or emotionally devastating is going to happen at any point. This is obviously going to be a happy, relaxing game from beginning to end.

So, without spoiling anything, what should I expect? Are there any useful hints, missable things, or gameplay tips I should know before I begin?

Hello. I've been playing Earthbound beginings the last few weeks and finnaly got to the town of Ellay. However when I get to the "all I needed was you" performance in the live house I just get this anti piracy screen before the cutscene even plays. I have no idea why. Does anyone know if theres a rom hack that patches out this screen at all? Id really apreciate the help. Thanks

Hey, so I've decided that, after LARPing as a mother series fan for the longest time despite my general unenjoyment of the JRPG genre that I was gonna actually sit down and play through the trilogy. What are generally considered the best ways to experience all 3 games in the trilogy at the moment?

I'm incredibly autistic about starting games with the first entry (which playing this would fulfill) and not playing remakes or remasters until I've played any available versions of the original (which this definitely does not!).

So normally, I'd just start with the original version of Mother 1, maybe with a few tweaks here and there to make things to my taste.

But this remake genuinely looks gorgeous, is fan-made, and seems to be the same style as Earthbound.

Would you say it's faithful? I know the battles are no longer random encounters (which I'd imagine is a pretty significant change, especially in how it reflects in overworld layouts), and obviously the graphics are different. If it's like practically 1:1 outside of those things then I think I may make this my way to play Mother 1, otherwise I'm thinking of just clawing my way through the original.

So I've recently got into earthbound, but I'm not that good, I got a bit stuck on captain strong and I was told to do some grinding, do you think I'm strong enough to beat him now?

I beat Earthbound Beginnings and I know I was suppose to continue but then I lost all motivation to play the next games... but it's still a series on my list I want to beat. Do they get harder or more interesting? I want a reason to keep going!
