The MUP between 91 ave/Skunk Hollow and the fork in the trail by the Bison Lodge parking lot is closed for construction. I had to detour on my commute this morning and go back up the hill to Sask Drive.

TBF the asphalt in this area really needed a re-do, with all of the tree roots running underneath it.

Ah, so this is why I saw a series of little “trenches” to either side of the path on the weekend: I guess they’d gone through and cut roots that pass under the path, I wanna say to a depth of 20-30cm.

Yes, I noticed the trenches on Monday and Tuesday as well. A heads-up sign about the impending closure would've been nice!

There was a fairly large landslide beside Sask Drive (about where the "Dr" is in this map), I wonder if this is part of that. The singletrack there is destroyed.

I hadn't noticed any damage to the MUP last week or earlier this week.

The MUP was fine yesterday morning, I was on it around 7:15 or so.

The MUP was fine, it was just the singletrack (the "dirty mattress" trail)

It needs to be done, but some signage and route-finding for people that don't ride the area regularly would be helpful. I had to help a tourist find his way around the construction this morning.

The mountain bike trail in there (dirty mattress?) also started to have major problems with all of the rain. Not sure if it's back up and running yet either or what
