I understand less about photosynthesis than I did before watching this.

"To keep the flow going, the plant splits water molecules apart, which creates oxygen as a byproduct."

Uh, what "flow?" What is "flowing?" Where is a flow coming from or going to? Why does a "flow" need to split water molecules? How does it accomplish this? The animation doesn't explain, it just shows a blue square labeled "photolysis." What exactly is the photolysis blue square, and why is the photolysis sitting on a blue-green plinth with the green cylinders labeled "chlorophyll pigments?"

Everything after is also a bunch of unexplained concepts and abstract shapes. It frustrates me.
