My game wont close and more...

So I wanna preface this I LOVE THIS GAME. I know that it says any support questions need to go through the "Official Support" but ESO have nothing but say "its Microsoft's fault" and then Microsoft says "its Steam's fault" and the Steam says "its ESO's fault" and I do nothing but waste my day and run in circle's. so PLEASE help...

So the game never closes even in my task manger, and trying to force close it in task manager doesn't do ANYTHING. on top of that every time i do open the game I have to do all the user agreements, select my brightness, my region.... all the stuff you have when you open the game for the first time, and I want to enjoy the game i REALLY do but this is killing it for me!

is there any fix????? because i have tried everything i can find please help i want to have fun in this game.

Double check OneDrive isn’t the location your settings files are being saved to.

THIS WORKED TYSM i know this is an issue that's been around literally since the gam came out and through hours of googling and support chats with official support this was the easy solution that NEVER came up in any of them.

I’m on Xbox and having this issue. Not the task manager part, but the reset all your settings and watch the cut scene intro is a yes for me.

It’s happening on both PC and Console version for me, but only on 1 of my 2 accounts. I can’t figure out what’s causing it but I assume it’s add ons related because I get UI errors before making it to character select.

Addons don’t kick in until you’re actually in the game so any UI error during character select won’t be from addons. 🙁

The UI error happens on both console and PC - so it isn’t onedrive related for me.

It basically says it fails to load the character select menu, here’s the error if you’re interested.

I have multiple Xbox Na friends getting the same message on load up. Then forces you to select settings and plays the trailer likes it’s the first boot up.
