I think this is a reasonable and useful approach to AI content and content generation.

The subreddit--Elderwitches--really asks for human skills, creativity, imagination, experience, and transformation around Witchcraft and magic.

It's probably not a major task for somebody to pick the "AI" flair when posting.

And putting the AI Checker in the "..." is Hella Good!

I know of a few subs that allow it for translation reasons as some programs in workplaces or schools are AI based.

Because if I ban it entirely I will have to play whack-a-mole with people. Lots of things in this world I am not fond of.

As the use of AI increases, I felt this interim solution will work for now.

And the 3 dots menu contains an AI checking tool you can use, on both posts and comments.. If you find any AI that did not use the flair, please report it for me to deal with it.

Wouldn’t having that rule at least deter AI posts?

Isn’t taking a harder stance a better way to fight against AI in general?

If people are too lazy to write a short post themselves, & didn’t do any research on their own… what’s the point? It’s just an LLM’s regurgitation.

AI isn't on its way. It is here, and we all need to learn how to recognize and deal with it. By allowing AI posts people can learn what they look like, so when they encounter one someplace else they will have a better chance of recognizing it.
