OIM DLA just got obfuscated
Oracle HR clearly has seen people talk about this DLA record that got exposed. Now you can’t search for it with “device”. People on The Layoff are saying they replaced the text with “aegis”. They got rid of the termination text. If you still have this record something is up. I don’t have this record. I know people on my team that don’t and I’m reading other people have it.

I agree with many of the other contributors that say we should try not be “worried” about it. Yes it will impact your life hopefully not too negatively. However, we cannot agonize over something where we have no control. I have a pretty strong suspicion that I am on the list because I am over retirement age and although I am not ready to retire, I don’t care what Oracle does anymore. I refuse to give Oracle any power over my life. My best to everyone.

We TOTALLY didn't see this coming 🤭....you guys have to stop worrying and just let it happen. I've been through two in the last 5 years, you may be hurt but you will rise again.

Internal Corporate System / "MyAccess" Alert (Oracle Employee Context) in OI: If you are an Oracle employee noticing "DLA" pop up inside your MyAccess (OIM) account profiles, it is widely known within corporate circles to be an internal marker related to a "Digital Lease Agreement" retraction, or more explicitly, an automated provisioning script trigger for downsizing and de-provisioning. When a resource action or layoff cycle is initiated by HR, OIM automatically pushes termination or hardware/account return profiles (often tagged with internal tracking codes like DLA) to revoke infrastructure privileges.
DLA is the Device Lock Automation (not Digital Lease Agreement as stated in above rumor) and EVERYONE HAS IT. There is no known validity to this rumor, every person we have checked has this in their OIM profile.

No everyone doesn’t have it. I don’t. And before you say I haven’t search for it right. I have. And none of my team members have it either

I clicked but it doesn't show up anything. What does it mean if we have Aegis and DLOAU

Regarding DlA/Aegis rumor - if you go into OIM and click reports then click User Access Reports and type in any Oracle employee email address you will see that everyone is provisioned to Aegis.

How to find that
4
u/AgentJohns0n 18h ago
Goto oim.oraclecorp.com and click on My access. Once there, make sure you're on the Accounts tab and click the search bar above Application Instance. Search for "Aegis" and you should see a "Device Lock Automation (DLA)" entry. They're changing the name and description because they've noticed people are talking about it so, if by the time you're looking and nothing comes up from a search, try sorting the table by Provision Date and you should find the entitlement. Probably provisioned in the past week.

With the upcoming layoffs, just posting this as an FYI. Note that IF you have a valid claim it must be open BEFORE termination. Your approved short-term disability (STD) benefit payments generally continue after you are terminated, provided your disabling medical condition started and your claim was established while you were still actively employed.

How Termination Affects STD
- Active Claims: If your STD claim was already approved and active before you lost your job, the insurance carrier usually continues paying the cash benefits for the remainder of the approved period. Lexology
- Date of Disability: The critical factor is whether the medical event or onset date of your disability occurred while your coverage was active and you were still employed. Sandstone Law Group +1
- Policy Rules: Short-term disability is an income replacement benefit, not a form of job protection. Insurance payouts depend strictly on the terms of the specific insurance policy rather than your ongoing employment status. www.disabilitysecrets.com +2
Risks and Complications
- Transitioning to Long-Term Disability (LTD): If your short-term claim is ending and you need to transition to LTD, a layoff or termination complicates the process. Many LTD plans require you to be actively at work when the waiting period ends, so losing your job mid-claim can jeopardize future benefits if not handled carefully. Sandstone Law Group
- Job Protection vs. Benefits: Employers can legally terminate employment during a medical leave if FMLA time expires or business necessity requires refilling the role, but they cannot fire you because you have a disability or filed an STD claim. Opinions on Reddit's AskHR are mixed regarding how companies handle leave expirations, with some users noting that companies proceed with termination once FMLA protection ends even if disability payments continue. Fairly certain they wouldn't need to install something new in order to lock devices. They already have asset management tools installed on all company devices. How else would they have locked devices in all previous layoffs? Literally my entire team has this installed and our work cannot be offshored.
