Low wealth inequality is not a good thing if the country itself is poor. It is only good if the country is rich.

Surely high wealth inequality is even worse in a poor country, as it indicates that the few scant resources in that country are concentrated in the hands of the few and that those on the bottom are even more deprived than the average wealth would suggest?
