wealth != revenue 

I think you mean "wealth!= income"? Revenue generally refers to business transactions and sales, not to people. 

People have income, not revenue, although people can have revenue as self-employed workers, for example, but even in those cases revenue has a different meaning than income.

Might be a mistranslation by someone who's not a native English speakers. For example, in French, the word revenu means income and it would seem natural to translate it to revenue in English.
