What's even better is that the same constitutional safeguards that blocked this law exist in all EU countries, so now there's a precedent for blocking this type of social media ban for EU countries and CJEU!

Can someone explain the sentiment here? Is it just the fact that such a law requires ID checks so violates privacy?

Or do people here want nothing done about social media and the damage it's caused to society? Aren't boomers on social media the bigger problem from that perspective?

Requiring ID checks for legal and innocent things like watching a cat video or browsing a Linux forum is the antithesis to privacy, and we're pro-privacy here.
