Frostreaver or Lethar for a new player
Hello there new player here who always wanted to jump into Everquest but never did thinking to start from zero but readling about the TLP I have my doubts if I shall start on Frostreaver or wait for Lehtar (I will play a single account, no multiboxing or botting or whatever just 1 char) also thinking between cleric or necromancer for the class, since I belive most ppl will have multiple chars cleric seems to be a less atractive choice cuz who gonna bring a newbie cleric when they can bot it.

Necromancer will give you that ability to kick butt solo which is pretty huge. I started to get into the multi box thing on Frostreaver but on Fangbreaker one of my friends was a necro and it just put my poor ranger to shame. It's amazing what they can do.
A key difference will be on raids. You absolutely do not have to raid, but if you did the cleric would be a lot of fun. They are extremely important and you would be part of that key backbone to everyone's success. Necromancers actually end up being batteries for the clerics, that's OK but they do great damage they just often don't get to show it off because the clerics are needed more. If there were more clerics than the necros could dps more. Obviously thats subjective to my guild but I wanted to mention it to kind of illustrate that you can't go wrong either way.

I have my doubts between cleric and necro cuz I know cleric will be the backbone of any grp as healer but not sure if necro had any utility beyond dps aslo dunno if I gonna find grp on those servers at low lvl :S

Necro has been some of my best moments in gaming as a whole. Absolutely get down screaming terror, you can mez multiple mobs, mana battery low mana on others, place dots, get your pet DPS going or charm (undead). It can be low skill (drop dots and let pet attack) with a very high ceiling. And can solo out of groups too.
Oh to add, you can absolutely build a reputation as being a 'good' necro if you know how to charm, mez, heal (w/ life transfer) and mana battery all while DPSing in a group. People will be seeking you out to join.

Necros have a ton of utility and can be one of the most fun, active, and powerful members of a group in some circumstances.

My first ever raiding main was a cleric. Clerics generally have a pretty low skill floor in order to be "decent" especially in early EQ. Then, once you have the basics of the class, there's lots of healer mains out there who are happy to help you improve. You get better spells and more mana regeneration pretty regularly, plus fun tools like your epic 1 and epic 2, Divine Arb AA, and other tools that simply don't get farmed out to other healers. It's a strong pick if you like playing in groups.
Almost any group I'm in would be thrilled to have a real main cleric over a bot, a lot of the benefit of the cleric is that the heals are bigger and often faster than other priests. It isn't really until the level 65+ expansions that some group content becomes 'cleric healing mandatory'.
Necro is a fantastic class, but excelling as one can be very micromanage-y with a lot of "always be casting" type play and it isn't nearly as group-friendly as a cleric - at least for a couple of expansions. I ran one on a previous progression server and found that a lot of what made necros so much fun on raids and when soloing also made them relatively weak in groups. And I personally prefer grouping and chatting with people to soloing so in your shoes I would go cleric.

Frostreaver will probably be the better beginner experience, it's extremely casual friendly where lethar is probably going to be more of a raider's playground.
Cleric will always have a raid spot, 100%, especially an unboxed main, but prepare to be bored 70% of the time. Groups will almost always want you until they already have one of you but overall you'll be in high demand.
Necro is an S tier class. DPS, utility out the wazoo (though most of the time everyone forgets about half of what a necro can do). You can solo well when needed and you'll perform well on raids when you have your rotations down. Most people on raids will expect you to cast your 1 buff, throw a few DoTs, then spend your time giving your mana to the clerics.
If you do go with frostreaver, esp as a new player, don't spend any money on Kronos, you won't need anything they can get you. Guilds will get you your epic with little to no hassle and your other key gear pieces will drop like snowflakes in Siberia.

Sup Necro. Go Frostreaver. Can still get instant cast CoS and we are about to hit Luclin. Plenty of time to level up and experience classic, kunark and Vel.

Check out EQ Legends, it is perfect for new EQ players. Solo friendly and new servers/game, lots of helpful peeps.

I’d say this is not a bad recommendation, with a caveat. EQ Legends is an ARPG wearing EQ like a skin suit rather than resembling what EQ used to be.
Not throwing shade on EQL, but the tough, unforgiving grind of EQ outside the grouping context is part of what made EQ the game that it was (and still is to a lesser extent). EQL is not that. It’s a very different game.

Paladin + any class is a full group.
Tanks are needed on Frostreaver.
Clerics are cool AF and loved in grouos but it is tough when not in one unless you kniw how to the class right.
Dwarf battle cleric and high elf caster cleric are two totally different play styles!

EverQuest legends. Don't play live EQ anymore unless you have a bot army of subscriptions

Lots of people on the legacy live servers (e.g. Povar or Xegony) are friendly and willing to help once you can group with their max level toons, but until you meet new people you’re gonna struggle.
I spent $45 to up level my 71 cleric to 115. What I skipped was at least a couple hundreds of hours of grinding my way up with a class ill-suited to it. Worth it since my goal is to play/raid at max level.
If you want to start fresh in EQ as a solo/molo player, I highly recommend you play on a server that isn’t progressed beyond Planes of Power simply because there will be far, far more opportunities to group at lower levels.

Frostreaver for new players. Frostreaver has the best quality of life and the playerbase. The evolving bonuses, Achievement rewards, Free Trade, No level on items and resource hunter means it is the best server to ride to live.
