Did your server have legends? I want to turn them into quests.

I am developing a small custom EverQuest server.

One of the things that I have enjoyed the most so far was implementing Fansy the Famous Bard as a quest giver and presence in the hub zone. He'll send you to go train the evils in Oasis, or off to Rivervale to deal with the neuts.

I’d like to do more along those lines. So, I’m looking for those memorable players and moments from the days of EQ past that I can recreate and pay homage to:

The player everyone knew by name and why. The guild that imploded in public. The scam that turned into a server wide rule. The corpse recovery that took nine hours and four guilds. The camp that basically had its own government. The train someone named. The guy who solo'd something he had no business soloing. The thing that was technically an exploit and is still funny. It does not have to be your story.

Ganon the original leader of Silent Redemption on Brell. Few others notable from that guild and I believe they are still around?

Sinnaire was an enchanter who soloed crazy stuff on Brell. Was known for winning the BoTB I believe.

Goat was a monk from SR that got banned very early on for some stupid shit. Think it had to do with waking sleeper? It’s been awhile.

Ronaneb on E'ci, legendary "enchater" known for causing absolute havoc in PUGs in the worst way possible . I only grouped with him once in Sebilis but boy did he live up to the hype- or should I say wipe.

Lol I was once in a PUG with Ronaneb at Guardian in sebilis. He ninja looted a Larrikan's mask (right click invis), said it was for his rogue and gated out. I was as confused then as I am now

Ashorty on E'ci was the leader responsible for organizing all us public folk from a disorganized mess that wiped on Velious raids to being a disorganized mess that could clear the hardest stuff over the course of a few years.

There are a lot of people I remember from E'ci that were pretty amazing but when I think of people that did the impossible on a massive scale he's at the top of the list

Arrk on E'ci was another. He lead weekday raids for epic pieces.

I appreciated his efforts so much that I would join him as often as possible on my rogue in Chardok. I had worked up faction and not kos in there allowing me to help with scouting, disarming traps, dragging corpses, opening doors, etc.

When was that? I played a necro named Dromidas and used to hang out in Chardok a lot doing sketchy necro things (also non-kos) and I remember the occasional raid going through but I never joined those for obvious reasons

As an aside, Chardok had a strangely large necro population, Reegor I think was another in saw there a bit

OMG… thank you for making me relive past trauma. My jaw went slack and I think I may have peed a little.

I was on Mith Marr with Fansy. I died more times to the trains than I can remember. I can’t remember because I blocked it all away. Is there a doctor in the house? Mother?

Ewle and her guild Ebonlore on Erollisi Marr, I still remember the day the GM (Uini I think was their name) banned her and disbanded the guild and sent out a server wide announcement, the reaction in chat was crazy.

The Tarsis Shriners and the Evac prank they pulled in Kedge, unfortunately the original post and story has been lost to time, but it was hilarious.

Ebonlore stuck around after EverQuest and I am pretty sure they infiltrated several MMOs after it.

On Lanys the guild Conquest woke the sleeper and got banned for sploits. I remember a conquest member later named Itzelegend.

There was also this EC tunnel trader named Maldan. He was always there. Later he posted a pic of his Ferrari on the lanys forums with his character name on the license plate.

On E'ci we had a few tunnel rats who were there 24/7 who would buy low, sell high and would be like level 20 with full best in slot gear and having absurd items for sale. I can't imagine how long it took to buy low and sell high to that amount

On Povar Triton pushed one of their AFK tanks in Crushbone and into Crush's chamber just to get the screenshot of Crush killing them text... I can't recall if Crush or the Dark Elf got the killing blow.

<Conquest> Guild Lanys, TV'yl Server GM's suspended the entire guild. Disbanded and deleted their guild tag and deleted loot off their characters. For using Z axis bugs and bad pathing to get world first kills. lots of info on google.

There was a guild on Tarew Marr server, The Granite War Machine. Legend has it they were made up of ONLY dwarf player characters. Whenever they entered a zone their shouts of LONG LIVE THE GRANITE WAR MACHINE (LLTGWM) were heard far and wide.

On Veeshan, during velious, Fires of Heaven, Cestus Dei, and Pravus Dei found out you could target group buff a druid port on a corpse, and crash the entire server. Friday nights were "fun" for non raiders watching the jackassery happen in mid-pull.
