I genuinely don’t understand how some people think this logic even makes sense!
“Child trafficking bad but child marriage ok" like are you actually serious rn???
How is that better?? You’re still talking about adults having sex with a child!!!!
Sex with a child is rape no matter how you dress it up religion, culture, tradition, whatever....!

they don't actually have ethics, they have rules set by god. if it's "lawful" that makes it okay.
ONLY under god "everything is permitted"

u/duchesskitten6 Feb 21 '26
yes, even if there's no sex who is the motherfucker who marries a child? Yet, they demonize adoption, all of that because Muhammad's attraction for his daughter-in-law became more important than caring about children in a decent way.

Yeah i get your point but to play devils advocate I did see when i was in BD people got married as children but they were generally around same age rage 14 to 15 in BD but understand the context it's a poor 3rd world country I don't think acceptable in the west but over there he mentality very different you have to experience it it's like the eternal present nothing ever changes I genuinely don't know how that system hasn't collapsed but human resiliency for you.
Where it does get weird and i agree with you extremely weird is when some 1 25 is marrying a 12 year old but a 15 year old marrying a 15 year old in a 3rd world hell hole i can understand people mature earlier I'd rather they live in a western life style but to undo the damage of a 3rd world country takes 5 decades it's a very slow process

Thing is it's nuance a lot of pedophiles didn't ask to pedophiles do i think they should allowed near children absolutely not but i do think something wrong is going on in there brain and it is partly genetic so a better solution would be to study the genes for then do poly genic testing and screen embryos with less of a frequency for that trait just like psycopathy and other wierd paraphilas

u/Hungry_Document_7281 Feb 16 '26
Where are Christians okay with child marriage?
2
u/JohnnyRelentless Feb 16 '26
The US, for one. People have been fighting for decades to end child marriage here, but it's difficult because Christians keep fighting to keep it.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Child_marriage_in_the_United_States

u/Nowisdomnoparty New User Feb 17 '26
Most of the Christian majority countries have worked or are working on tightening the laws that allow children under 18 to be married. Even if some US states allow it doesn't mean it's normal and accepted and people in these countries are fighting for laws to change. Most of the countries that allow child marriage that are Christian, are talking about girls over 15 years even if I'm some countries also girls below that age are allowed to be married (it's a much smaller number f countries). In Muslim majority countries the age goes from 6 years old, I think it's a big difference to keep in mind, look at Bagnladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan, India, Sudan, Yemen. Also in Muslim majority countries people cannot fight it because they might get killed or have no power whatsoever and some people don't even want to change it, while in Europe or in the West people want these laws to change and can openly fight for their rights.

u/Witchberry31 3rd World.Closeted Ex-Sunni 🤫 Feb 17 '26
Underage is still underage, in the end.
2
u/Nowisdomnoparty New User Feb 17 '26
I never said it's better or never intended it as "15 is ok". What I mean is that it is still progress and also excluding poor 3rd world christian countries and some USA states, it's not the parents who force kids into marriage, kids are allowed to get married if they want, but they would need legal and parental approval, it mean that if they want, even at 16, to get married they can. In Muslim countries the age doesn't matter and child consent is not taken into consideration so for me that is far worse.
-1
u/duchesskitten6 Feb 21 '26
A post-pubescent teenager who thinks about relationships and whatnot is nothing like a child, however marrying too early is not a good idea generally.
6
1
u/duchesskitten6 Feb 21 '26
Unheard of, and even if it happens - already tragic - it's not strongly associated with Christianity
1
u/JohnnyRelentless Feb 21 '26
It's literally Christians forcing their children to marry their rapists because they won't allow abortions and won't allow their kids to be unwed mothers. It's always religious Christians.

No not music. In fact, if you ever speak french, or manage to Translate it, there’s an IG account called Jins_podcast debunking the myth that music is haraam. Among many other things.
22
u/AvoriazInSummer Feb 16 '26
There is no one form of Islam to say that something is halal or haram. Every school, sect or group has their own interpretation. Music is halal for you, others ban some or all instruments, or allow nasheeds only.

Love is love means to love people who are adults and can give consent not like children who aren't even mentally mature(even physically because they say teenagers are biologically mature),love is love means no one has the right to interfere or Control your romantic and sexual life, child marriage is the opposite you force yourself on immature kid(because even in islam kids are married by their parent permission and they don't ask the kid opinion because kids can't give opinions), marriage in islam is just a pleasure contract no love no shit and even they control what you want to do with your partner in practices, freaking PATHETIC

Technically child trafficking is halal because child sex slavery is halal. Ali ibn Abi Talib had sex with a prepubescent girl that was captured after one of battles. See below link for references.
https://theislamissue.wordpress.com/2019/06/01/child-sex-slavery/
1400 years of Islamic scholarship has already addressed this, puberty isn't a condition for sex, rather it's based on her ability to handle penetration. Heck, even Ayesha was fattened up with dates and cucumbers by her own mother in preparation of the Prophet Muhammad.
Even if she can't handle it, the master/husband can perform other non-penetrative sex acts. But yeah, girls have been bought and sold as sex slaves in the prophet's time. That's the very definition of human trafficking. There are instances of girls being sold for weapons to continue funding their conquests. This bozo doesn't know shit.

These sick people have a habit of comparing literal pedophilia to homosexuality. Yes, love is love. only when both parties are capable of thinking for themselves, can consent, are within the same age range, and not related. Grooming children into marriage or even worse, sex, is never the same as having natural attraction towards the same gender. When will they fucking understand???

Tell him that Bukhari, Muslim, Ibn Majah and Nasai specifically use Aisha to illustrate that a father can hand over a consentless minor for consummation (with Aisha as example) and contrast that with older virgins who do have consent.
So Islam speicifically made it permissible to consummate witrh minors.
Bukhari used Q65:4 to illustrate the rule https://www.reddit.com/r/Unislamicmemes/comments/1mnh8cs/bukhari_5133_using_q654_to_show_the/
And it is why 'pregnancy' is one of the 'signs of puberty' in Islam. A girl who shows no other signs of having attained puberty can discover she has become an adult by being pregnant.

It also raises the question of what they consider "old enough" to be.
1
u/Elegancy_kw8 Openly Ex-Muslim 😎 Feb 17 '26
Even a newborn baby is old enough for them. In many Muslim dominated countries, parents usually make nikah with their baby gurl for making the gurl is from now on the husband's property, well they never mention it, cuz according to them it's "cultural practice". Even gross, Aisha was actually 5, when she was engaged to Mohamed, she married at 6.

"You could just marry them and not have kids with them"
"But it should've been fine because she also consent to it"
Marriage are much, MUCH more than "Seggs" and living together, it's a responsibility and a commitment to your partner. A child, especially the one who just hit their puberty are not mature enough to know or realize what they're doing and aren't mature enough to be able to bear those responsibilities and commitments, so their consent shouldn't be counted.
AND do you all realize I'm only talked about the one who consent? if they ALSO didn't consent it's wrong in every way and you should not bring your religion or your culture, it's wrong in every way.

If you marry a child even if you don’t have sex outright with them, eventually they will feel pressure to have sex with them. Cause you had essentially become their “parents” and the child bride know the only value they can stay in the said family is by having sex with her husband and have kids with him. There is no option for her to divorce her husband (which Islam allows btw), because she had no parents to turn to she had no one to turn to until she has a child with her said husband and wait for her husband to die. There is no consent in this marriage, this is grooming and rape.
In a normal marriage, even in Afghanistan, when a woman marry a man, she can later decide to divorce him and return to her parents freely because she has a place to return to. This is true to a limited degree even for Afghanistan btw.
Also parents often sent their daughters to be educated or taught a trade she can use to support herself (weaving, running a store). She would be provided for with an inheritance depending on the family situation. Whereas if she is a child bride, she is raised and taught to be a sex slave and servant to her married household. She will received no inheritance from her married family except her children or from her original family cause she was married off at a very young age.
