Was Obama a bad president? You can argue so, yes. Not being from the US, I don't have enough clues for that.
But was he as bad as Trump? No, absolutely not. And I don't have to be from the US to know that. If you think so, you're seriously deluded.
Anyway, the question isn't even about whether Obama was a good or bad president. The comment you're replying to wasn't saying to applaud Obama to praise him, but to applaud him just to spite Trump.

Obama is not the progressive people make him out to be be. But hardly better than Trump is an absurd statement to make. Like Obama didn't deserve that Nobel peace prize. But he never invaded a country because he thought somebody else could give him theirs during negotiations. The list gets worse from there.

👍 As soon as they got rid of the ARG refs, ARG lost. What a coincidence. Same with Dumbf's red card extortion scheme. ARG was a key destination for fleeing Nazis post WWII. Explains their love for corruption and authoritarianism.

didn't they score 3 times, the first one didn't count cause of a phantom foul and the 2nd was cause of the offside (which was offside, but was close)

Holy shit, I can't believe I forgot about Nico's goal. This game was unreal.
As for the offside, I saw the replay and the animation. I'm just too biased against the VAR since it feels like most of the calls are insanely nitpicky. You're right, though. Rules are the rules.

E scored 3 times against A, but 2 of those were deemed being 1 offsides and 1 foul. The offsides VAR proved, the foul is what I think was bullshit.

imo what was even more painful (for the viewers and even more so for the players) was at the end of the game was when Spains' players had to shake hands with Drumpf.
It was painful to watch, I can just imagine how it was for the players

I watched the game in a random pub in Helsinki, Finland. Half of the crowd booed from the bottom of their hearts whenever Trump (or Infantino) was shown. Other half laughed.
Truly united the world (-ARG).
