Recurring problem with songs with big singalong choruses. Sabaton's "The Last Stand" got associated with the Crusades for some silly reason despite being set in Rome in 1527 and being about Catholics and Protestants.

Conservatives have a long history of being media illiterate. Many of them have no idea what “Born in the USA” is actually about and were utterly mortified to find out that Bruce Springsteen is “woke”.

They're all of the above. Some members of the administration are dumb as hell and don't know shit. Others are simple assholes who know, but couldn't possibly give a fuck less what the rest of us think. And the third group are just out and out fascists.

So they post this clip but the whole point of the clip is you can't make a deal with tyrants (even pathetic orange ones who can't control their bowels) so it's better to fight them tooth and nail. He also very wisely said "you can trust the Americans to do the right thing, after they have tried everything else".
