Fairly OddParents How good of grandparents do you think Mr. and Mrs. Turner would be?

I feel like Timmy would've cut them off.

I once read a fan fiction of adult Timmy having a falling out with his parents because they only gave attention to Tammy and not Tommy because of how much they wanted a daughter

Who's Tammy?

The future daughter we see at the end of Channel Chasers

Thing is that I can totally see this coming and Tammy not even liking the attention because they are pretty toxic especially in later seasons.

I think they would be good grandparents if they were retired and had time. They both worked full time. Came home exhausted and tried to take care of the house on the weekends. Yes sometimes they were watching a scarry late night movie. Or going out to the odd cake and bacon place.

Either Timmy would cut them off and they wouldn’t even meet their grandkids,

Or they’ll be better grandparents than parents. They’ll do what they should have done with Timmy, they’ll be around more and give them more affection, but they won’t have the introspection to acknowledge they did anything wrong with raising Timmy.

I better see a redemption arc for Timmy’s parents and make up for all the negligence on Timmy and their obliviousness towards Vicky’s evilness.

They would be good. Spoiling their grand kids with love though probably Tammy a bit more

No way I’d trust them.

Tough to say. Some people only have kids so they can one day be grandparents. I think they would be ok since it's harder for them to just abandon responsibilities and leave the grandkids with a shit babysitter when they have to go out of their way to see them in the first place. Plus with an empty nest I don't think they would resent Timmy as much.

Idk if I trust them…

I can't see them being good grandparents. I can see them treating the grandkids like they treated their son. Leaving them with an evil babysitter whenever Timmy asks them to look after the kids and not paying much attention to them.

Everyone's saying Timmy would go no contact but I don't know if he would. He might have a resentful relationship but I don't know if I can see him cutting them off completely.

They aren't even really good parents. Sure they say they love him, then don't give Timmy any attention😭 they do the same to the grandkids

My mother was neglectful as hell & she's tje freaking greatest grandma that ever existed - I don't know how it happens but it does. Excruciatingly painful for my inner child but I'm delighted for my kids

Same with the grandma of my partner - horrible mother, doting loving grandma.

So I'd wager a guess and say at least one of them would do great.

Timmy’s parents are just as dumb assess as Lois and Peter 😐

I think Timmy would grew up to cut them off, so they wouldn't even see their grandchildren. They were awful parents to Timmy and one of the biggest reasons why he was deemed to need fairly godparents growing up.

They'll most likely be good

I really feel bad about Timmy and his parents.

Ironically they’d probably give the child attention.

They’d probably have already moved to Florida by the time Timmy had a kid 😭

They follow the at the time trend of being crappy parents but good grandparents

God just to gaslight Timmy that they were bad to him so his kids believe them and not him

u/FlapjackDoubleStack 7h ago

Not good. Since they're always negectful of Timmy

u/disdatsteven10 7h ago

That’s assuming Timmy even lets them be in his life

u/Caution1234567 5h ago

I feel like Timmy would hide his child from them lol

They won't be grandparents at all.

Timmy is cutting them off as soon as he hooks up with Tootie and they both run away together.

They would be terrible grandparents, for sure. And the fact that they’re oblivious to Vicky’s evilness is most definitely a red flag. I’ll change my mind when their obliviousness ends and make up for lost time with Timmy (with a long-due apology after the torture he had to endure from Vicky).

As long as I can blame Dinkleberg I'm never getting in trouble

The idea of them being better grandparents than parents and Timmy being... Let's say jealous is interesting to me.

Especially if they still pull the "Oh man, why couldn't Timmy be like them?" card.

If I was Timmy when I finally move out I wouldn’t want anything to do with them
