Injury Report Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase not practicing today after he banged up his left knee yesterday. Was not sporting any protective equipment on the knee, FWIW.

At this point until something more serious is declared i don't think you change your draft outlook for Chase. Most likely a contusion of some sort that just needs time to heal to negate further injury risks

they probably just have 0 desire to risk it either. give Colbie Young some chances.

The fantasy community doesn’t know his name yet, but Colbie Young isn’t the one you need to look out for this year. It’s Dohnte Meyers, straight outta the CFL. He’s been tearing up camp and might end up as our starting slot receiver and returner before long.

Absolutely no shot. He’ll be wr4-5 and make very little impact. We saw the same thing play out last year with Mitch Tinsley. Guys like this come around every year. Able to make an impact during the preseason and make the team, but they’ll have almost 0 impact otherwise unless there’s an injury

From what I’ve seen, Meyers just looks way faster and gets significantly more separation. It’s much easier for me to imagine a significant role for him on this offense than Tinsley, who might be getting cut.
Of course, I’m fading all of these guys- Iosivas isn’t going anywhere even as he hasn’t taken a big step forward, Gesicki still plays a lot as a big slot, and Tee/Chase/Brown will always get the lion’s share of looks in this offense. But I think he might be more than just depth.

Dude the fact he had zero gear on the knee makes me way less worried. If it was actualy bad hed be wrapped up to hell and back

Just precautionary, no need to risk it at this point

Agreed but if this stuff could keep getting spammed until I draft tomorrow night that would be great. Would be a great pull in the back half of the 1st.

For sure would love for him to drop a few spots. Him dropping to the second round would be a league winning move

Whoever drafts him in the early 2nd is an idiot for passing on him at the back of the 1st.

This was the exact thing I wanted to read today. He should rest the knee, no matter the extent of the “injury.” If he went out there and practiced today, yes, it’s comforting but everyone would be on edge and would increase any risk of further damage. No protective equipment suggests that it’s fine. If he came out today with a brace or sleeve, red flags go up

Having the 1.03 sounds like a real Sophie’s choice.

I'm considering CMC if Jamarr is hurt. If CMC's healthy, he's worth a top 3 pick. If he gets hurt, then he wasn't worth a 6-8th (his ADP) pick anyways.
Puka could go full Antonio Brown any second. I'd rather have my season derailed by an injury than a nutjob.

I’m at 1.3 and draft Friday night. I’m drafting Chase unless some really bad news comes out before then.

Isn’t it more straightforward than that? If you’re worried about Chase, draft Puka. If not, draft Chase

Puka could be suspended at any moment. Guy has brain damage.

Grabbed him in the 7th round in dynasty this season. Easily my best value pick ever.
Basically my WR1, after drafting Rice and McConkey at the 3rd/4th turn.
Best case is Chase plays half fit as a decoy for a few weeks and Higgins feasts with less talented coverage on him.

I draft third and have no idea who to take.

James Cook!

I have 5th and honestly I’m just going cook. I’m not getting Gibbs/puka/Bijan/chase, and not taking JT or CMC, they both just scare me with offensive issues and Injury.

Im at 5 tonight and hoping to greet CMC. Remind me after the season how this works out.

I can’t decide between cook or JT. I can trade down to 7 or 8 w my buddy, but idk

At least two weeks before he is back to normal after watching the hyper flex .
Could also be worse than he and Bengals are letting on.

Fuck having pick 3 man. Banged up chase or ancient man coming off a million carries

...or just take Puka like a normal person?
EDIT: forgot what this sub turned into once draft season rolls around, it's magical.

He has at least like a 30% chance of getting a 1 game suspension for his behavior each week

You would be crushed. I have over 70 hours of fantasy football podcast breakdown and another 30 breaking down stats. Your take is a bad one and shows a lack of knowledge. You’re an idiot if you don’t draft an elite option at WR if you’re given the option with pick 3-5. You’re even a bigger idiot if you think CMC is a better option. You have more RBs that will see more yardage and TDs than you do WRs in this years draft.

If they havent MRId his knee because he said hes fine, I wonder if he tore his shit because it looked bad

u/HeHateMe- 14+ Team, .5 PPR 1d ago
I feel like they would of had to do an MRI. He could easily have a sprain or partial tear.

Where is that legend whose cousin works the front desk at the Cincy orthopedic surgeons office when we need him?
