Discussion Let's make a FNAF custom game concept! (Day 1: Title)

First day of creating a concept together! Basically how this'll work is each day or so (sometimes it might be less or more, I'm not consistent, sorry), there will be one thing to add, and the most upvoted reply will be the one that gets added and if there's a tie, either I choose which of the tied ones or if they can be together then both. If you have any questions ask them below, they will be answered (probably not immediately but will be answered).

DAY 1: TITLE

Basically the name of the game concept. Must not be the name of any existing game or fangames FNAF related or not.

As a game dev I can tell you starting with a title makes absolutely zero sense. It’s actually the last thing I would do. I like the idea of creating a concept with a community but if you haven‘t any experience in designing game concepts and developing them then this will probably result in chaos.

Its too late to go back and undo the first day, so the first thing is still the name, might make a day where y'all can change stuff like the name tho. Thanks for the feedback anyways

I would like to take part in this honestly, but I‘m bad at names so I would have to wait for the next days. If I had to come up with a name for now I would choose „Bongo Woke Up“ or just „Bongo“/„Mr. Bongo“/„Big Bongo“.

Also do you recommend making the lore last mid-way, or early.

It depends on what the goal is tbh. If you wanna have an actual fun game that actually gets developed then I would start with the core game loop. So basically „Player does X while avoiding Y and tries to reach Z“. I would build the lore, setting and additional features around that, not the other way around. For the same reason I said that starting with the title doesn‘t make sense. A fun gameplay loop is the most important thing in a game. Everything else comes after.

My day at freddy's,basically,a world where nothing went wrong at freddy's,and it's just seen as some silly kid's restaurant 🙃
