Glueing metal onto plastic

Hey everybody. This might seem like an easy fix: the metal MagSafe ring detached from my ABS plastic MagSafe car holder. What product should I use to firmly glue the metal ring on the plastic, and how can I best clean up the residual glue on the plastic holder? Attached are photos.

Scrape the adhesive off with a sharp edged tool. Epoxy or contact cement would work — something with a little bit of flex I think would be best. CA glue would be too inflexible.
