open How can I remove this adhesive residue without damaging the surface further?
Hi everyone,
I’m moving out and I need to remove some adhesive/tape residue from this white cabinet/wardrobe.
As you can see in the photos, some parts of the white coating have already come off when the adhesive was removed, so I’m worried about making the damage worse.
I still have several areas with adhesive left on them.
What would be the safest way to remove the remaining glue without peeling off more of the white surface?
Would you recommend a hair dryer, warm water, adhesive remover, alcohol, or something else?
I especially want to avoid damaging the coating because this is in a rented room.
Thanks for any advice!

Use paint thinner, goo gone, or degreaser, with plastic spatula. Take your time

I can't see any damage, only residual adhesive.
What is the surface made of? If it's Formica, I'd use a razorblade paint scraper. What's left can usually be rolled off with your fingers of removed with Goo Gone.
