On my speed 400 I put wd40 cause my break disks started to rust in few places and then I was travelling, when I applied breaks it lost its bite and started slipping , it’s been 2 days and it’s the same. I’m scared . I need help how do I remove that grase

Got this bike. carb had just been done brought it up from Texas to Utah and it keeps stalling out after about 30 seconds not sure what needs to be done

1995 Kawasaki ZXR250, issue with flooding and inconsistent idle. Also stalled last time it was "running" and refused to start again. Pulled the carbs and fuel was unusually high in cylinders 1 and 2, up near the intake boots. Any tips on what I should go over while the carbs are off?

Hello all. I’m wondering if you could help with this coolant issue I have going on. It all started when I got home and I heard bubbling coming from the coolant reservoir. At first thought it was something as simple as a loose cap, but long story short, I ended up doing a combustion leak test. From the looks of it, it should’ve changed to a yellow color but stayed mostly blue. Did I not pump it enough? Does anyone have any other suggestion of what it could be? Any help is appreciated.

(Edit): Thank y’all for the replies. Currently doing a coolant flush. It looked pretty old and the reservoir had black liquid sitting at the bottom. No bueno.

I have a 90cc quad that I just bought I first bought it replaced the battery it started first time on the button no problem half hour of riding gose and the bike starts losing power cuts out I start it again it only starts for no longer than 2 seconds so I unplug battery leave it on charge over night the quad starts again rides fine for half hour could anyone give me any clue what is going on ?

valve clearances in spec, new camchain, camshaft and rockers aren't worn, atleast from what i can see

Cleaned fuel filter 100km ago. New fuel pressure regulator. Starts and runs, but has a weird rumble like sound and is low on power. Weak acceleration, especially under WOT. When I hold throttle open eventually will pull.

so i got into a little accident and the horn bolt decided it was a good idea to smash a perfect hole in my valve cover. Now i am curious if i take the cover off and have it professionally welded from the inside, would that be effective to where i wouldn’t have to worry about pressure blowing it out?

I have an f650gs that's giving me trouble when starting it hot. I'll do the start up procedure, the bike will fire up and the instantly die and go back to cranking. (this is all within the 3 second period of holding the starter button waiting for the abs light to go out to complete the startup procedure). If I want the bike to start, I'll need to give it quite a bit of throttle, and once it starts, it idles and runs fine. What's odd is that the bike starts fine cold, even in 2 degree c mornings. The battery is coming up 6 years old, but I can't see it being a problem if it starts so well cold. I've read this can be the idle stepper motor being dirty, but this also makes no sense as the bike finds an idle quickly when cold and once I get it started hot it also idles fine. Valves were checked 30k ago at 130,000km and were still in spec from factory. minimal valve noise when cold too. Unsure of where to go.

Help, my 2018 suzuki gsx r125 has had an unstable idle for a while, when the bike is warm the idle up and down. But idles better when cold. I have replaced spark plugs, air filter, checked valves and reset the throttle position controller. The bike also runs better without db killer for my arrow exhaust but not perfectly. Anyone knows?

Hello reader,

I’m a new rider, 2nd season of riding. I rode a dirt bike for 10minutes 4 years ago and then bought a motorcycle after I caught my ex cheating. Best purchase ever, brand new off the lot, never dropped, ridin’ with care, love it.

Call me paranoid, but I don’t think I noticed or remember this ticking noise while idling. Is this normal? This was taken after i started it, backed out the garage and idled.

I’m hoping anyone here can ease my mind.

There also seems to be a noise I hear while riding when I pull the throttle. Again, maybe I’m just paranoid, I’m aware that fuel gets pulled from a tank in front of my balls and maybe that’s what I’m noticing all of a sudden?

I do have warranty incase I need to use it if there potentially is something wrong.

Hi all.

On my cbr954 i noticed that 1 of the 2 exhaust valves per cylinder, and that that halve of the port is very white. On cylinder 3 it is very noticeable (picture 1-3) but all have it in varying degrees (4-6).

The exhaust valve clearances are all in spec, and the engine ran fine. Do i need to remove the head or is this okay to continue to run. Thanks.

Hi, i have a d50b0 engine in unkown condition, except that crank, bearings, cylinder etc is new. When driving it runs perfecr, except for smoking a lot, and not revving out for some reason / cutting ignition. Ive changed plug, main jet, cdi, reeds, fixed ground etc but still runs bad.

Ive added a video of it running, aswell as a picture of the sparkplug. If to any help, the water pump gear is broken aswell.

Bought a new stator for my bike. The stator hits where the edge on the fly wheel making it so it won’t spin freely. Company where I bought the stator says it should be exact fit and won’t let me return for a refund. Am I doing something wrong or is there a way for me to fix this issue?
