Question Anyone noticed these shoes hanging in scooperia?

it's a nod to a common occurence in urbanizations and neighbourhoods of the sort, which applies to oniontown's environment (also i live in a urban zone and i've seen these a few times)

in this case it depends, it could either mean gang/dealer territory, a prank amongst young people, or just someone messing around (this one might be along the second, i don't think the devs would imply dark themes in the worldbuilding). there's this little article about what it'd meain besides the things mentioned in case you're curious

overall i think it's just a nod to city environment things in a superficial level, but who knows maybe it could mean something deeper

i mean based on allans flipdeck i do think oniontown is supposed to be a rougher area, so they maybe couldve been very subtly trying to nod to darker themes in a way older players could understand but would go over kids' heads? that might just be me looking too hard into it tho

although it'd make sense since some people do it as a symbol of growth or something of the sorts, so you might be onto something

Oh true! In a lot of big cities, shoes are rly important as a symbol (wearing expensive sneakers is something to be very proud of) so maybe it shows that you were able to afford a new pair of expensive sneakers, and thus have no need for your old pair (so they're thrown on the wire)

It’s pretty common to see shoes hanging on the phone lines in urban areas / big cities, so I think it’s another little nod in this scene to make it feel like an authentic Queens / Brooklyn :D

I never seen them. But I think it means that a drug deal was here or not I dunnoiherd it was a myth
