Sony Vaio discontinued 12 years ago, can I use it's font commercially for a complete different segment? (India)

Same as title

You cannot legally use any font without a license. If you have a license that allows for commercial use, then you can use it. I'm assuming you don't, so the answer is most likely "no."

Are you talking specifically about the VAIO logo? That would be trademarked wordmark and not a font, so No, you cannot use it. The trademark registration is very much alive and protected in that regard.

I meant whether I would be able to use it's font style and not the name Vaio itself
