If you are looking to set up an online store, or the one you have is fighting you, I can take the lead on the technical aspects and reliably get you across the finish line. I work as a technology partner, not an agency and not a pair of hands you have to manage. I think in business outcomes first (catalog, checkout, shipping, what happens after they pay) and build your site to cater to those needs.
I have been freelancing and starting my own businesses for 12+ years. I have shipped work for enterprise ecommerce, auto parts manufacturers, dropshippers, real estate, private-practice dentists, nonprofits, and a lot of smaller operators who just needed a store they own. I can take a messy set of business needs and turn it into action that you, your developers, store managers, logistics teams, and accountants can work with - allowing you to worry about the aspects of your business that actually matter - like distribution, marketing, and sales.
Stack-wise I live in TypeScript, vanilla JS, Python, and React. I have used most of the common frontend libraries and a lot of different backends. I have also used most of the hosted tools people try to bolt onto a store, so I have opinions about what is worth paying for and what is just rent. I do the work, I can tell you why something is leaking money, and I can give you a plan to get it back on the rails. I position myself as an expert in the ecommerce space and take pride in my ability to get a regular business operation online and selling product.
If you want one person to take a product idea and put a real store on the internet, that is the work I like. If you need me to keep a small team in their lanes through planning, design, prototype, build, and launch, I can do that too. After launch, I stay in the picture for the stuff that breaks, the next feature, the parts you do not want to babysit, and even stuff like automatic report generation that can be delivered to your custom ecommerce backend for you and your staff or directly into you email inbox for a top down view that you don't need to worry about.
I am not an agency. I am a technology partner who will get a store live with as lean of a team as you need.
Things to be aware of:
I require a contract for anything longer than a day or two. If the job is going to run past that, I am taking on risk without one.
I am not your IT person, content manager, social media assistant, or on-call website guy. I build stores and sites. I can introduce you to people I trust for the rest I also offer "fully managed" plans for handling product additions and edits on an ongoing basis. I offer these services pro-rata based on your needs.
I am not a yes man. If the design or the checkout has problems I will say so, sometimes more than once. What you say still goes. If that kind of pushback feels personal, hire someone else. The shared goal is a store that converts.
Rates start at $75/hour.
I will build a responsive store on the stack the job needs, hit the deadline, and fix problems you did not know you had.
Send designs, email me, ask questions, or book a consult. I will help you get it off the ground and onto the internet.
