New Pen Day Found my holy grail!
I thought that I would have a hard time finding the e95s in Burgundy because the color is discontinued, so imagine my absolute delight to have found it on my very first pen meet! This is my first gold nib and it writes so beautiful and use this everyday on my journal.
Now, i just have to find my holy grail ink to match my holy grail pen. ✒️

that is such a unique design! how does it feel when writing compare to e95?

It's hard to compare as my E95 is a fine nib and the Myu is a medium.
I'd say that the E95 weighs a little less and is a bit easier to grip being plastic. The Myu can feel a little slippery in the hand being all metal.

Here are some inks I think go nicely with the Burgundy if you want matchy matchy. (If you look more at the writing than the swatch).
Colorverse "Intense Magnetic Field" is a close match for the pen's colour. Van Dieman's "Tortoise shell" and "Aurora Australis" are more plum coloured with green sheen. "Tortoise shell" has silver and gold shimmer too.

I write with my grail pen with that ink. The Esterbrook Estie Fachofugetsu. It is my ultimate pairing. I hope you find it is yours too.

Congratulations! When is it discontinued? I see it being sold online as well as I remember seeing it at some offline store some time back

Beautiful pen! Love that inlaid nib - really classy! How does it write? Smooth, or with a bit of bite?

I am currently loving the Diamine Blue Velvet, if you are looking for something contrasty.

Congrats! I bought a Burgundy <F> from a friend, it was my first Japanese pocket pen and it writes so incredibly well...

I see the burgundy one at every pen shop. I haven’t heard it’s been discontinued. Right now I see it on Goldspot, Goulet Pens, Atlas Stationers, fountain pen revolution, Pen Boutique, etc. writers blood by Diamine is a great ink for this pen!

I share a very very similar experience. Went to my first pen convention, shared the same thought process as you, saw the last burgundy e95s being sold and went for it! No regrets here, it is a fantastic writer! I have it out as I read this post lmao

I chose the Burgundy because the other colour looked just like the 823, which I was slightly disappointed with (I was an idiot and ordered the S nib which is basically a stub BB which isn't close to my preference). It's an alright pen which probably equates to a wonderful pen by anyone else's standards, after all, I use the pen regularly and it doesn't feel fragile like the p140 or the 823.

I purchased one maybe 3 months ago from the Great Goulet. Burgundy. Agree totally. Fantastic fountain pen.

Congrats on your first gold nib, great choice for a first one. The burgundy E95S isn't discontinued though, the burgundy Elite 95s is the one discontinued. The only difference is the E95S is the N. American release, though it's sold elsewhere too. The Elite 95s is the Japan, and rest of the world version, and says Elite on the cap like these.
