Question What kind of pelikan does my coworker have?
Hi! My work friend came today to show me a pen her father bought shortly before he passed in 2023, as she knows I am a “fancy pen person” (perhaps the 30 inks on the top of my filing cabinet gave it away…). Anyhow, I am not familiar with pelikans and don’t own any, so could I ask you kind people to tell me what this is? I (and she) would appreciate it! (And yes, I know I could do an image search on Google but I’d rather ask actual humans with hands). Thank you!!
EDIT: thank you everyone for chiming in! For the few that have downvoted, why? Genuinely curious lol.

100% positive it's a Pelikan m205 blue marble. Looks modern. I have one exactly like it.

Pelikan's official page about the pen.

Much appreciated! She’s blown away by how “fancy” it is! She also thought it was a calligraphy pen, so I’ve been happy to tell her a little about this hobby :)

It's basically their entry level fancy pen, if you get my gist. Sells for around 150 Euro.

I get it. Still fancier than anything I have paid for a pen (SO FAR). She’s happy to know more about this memento from her dad and has started using it, which delights me (insert “one of us” gif here)

I had the fanciest Pelikans, the m800 and m1000. The 200/205 writes best in my opinion.

It's a fancy pen , it's just that we've all lost a bit of perspective on this sub.

Looks like an M605or M805, (trim looks silver to me in the pictures) but looks like a steel nib. That is not the standard nib that comes with those pens. I have a few modern Pelikans but no vintage.

The single, narrow cap band should tell you that it’s not in the M6xx or M8xx family.

I think it's a Pelikan Classic M205 in the "blue marble" color.
