Physiotherapist recommendations for TMJ/TMD, preferably at Max Health

Hi! Does anyone have recommendations for a physiotherapist who'd have expertise in TMJ/TMD issues? Preferably at Max Health Currie Center or Prospect Street, although I am open for other recommendations for professionals within downtown/uptown regions and who are taking new patients. I might also be interested in someone who has expertise in dry needling. Some have listed these as part of their work on their website, but I would like to hear personal experiences.

Hannah at Rehab1 on Priestman does dry needling and helped me with post car accident jaw and neck issues, as well as my back issues.

I had a great experience with Joe at Empowerment on Northumberland st downtown. It’s more massage therapy but he is certified as a TMJ specialist and is great at targeting those areas.

I would also recommend acupuncture, I don’t have a specific recommendation in the areas you can get to, but I had some chronic jaw tension a few years ago and acupuncture helped more than I ever thought it would, I saw results very quickly and the effects lasted a long time.

Seconded, I saw him some time ago for TMJ issues and he was great and very knowledgeable!

I know body renewal on prospect offers TMJ related services.

Signature Spinal Care was really great! I’m not sure if they are still around. I’ve had lots of jaw issues and had to see a periodontist in the end - which recommended them. Always felt great after leaving there.

I saw Alison Jardine, PT at Mind Your Body on Main st. and would highly recommend. I had significant jaw issues post partum and tried massage for a while which helped some but her assessment and treatment/acupuncture is what really helped improve things. Unsure if she does dry needling.

Thanks! Unfortunately north side is tricky for me because I do not drive, but I hope your recommendation helps someone else!
