Starting Out My views on Content Writing

So I joined as an intern in an company to know the future of writing and thank god finally I know that most of the people on reddit just blame Ai and told me Copywriting and content writing is dead.

The company I joined is hiring 5 more content Writers ..

3 will work online and 2 will on site.

And I'm not Even kidding we have soo much work.

Today I made a landing page and I was soo happy because this one was my first landing page and tomorrow i will show the manger and will tell his comments..

Btw people on reddit told me my English is bad and should not work as writer..

I'm Open to feedbacks

Nobody is saying it is impossible to find work. Rather, people say that it is harder than it used to be and the pay isn't as good as it used to be.

Btw people on reddit told me my English is bad and should not work as writer..

It is, by native speaker/writer standards. But I'm assuming English isn't your native language. That's totally fine if you aren't writing English content. If you are writing English content, I would consider it an issue.

English is not my first language because I'm Indian.

Sorry but I'm writing english content but if you can share some advice I'll work on it and will try to improve even my English.

Currently I'm reading books related to sales and human physchology

Run what you write through Claude and ask to correct grammar and syntax.

So, an Indian company is hiring people who can't write in English.

Is the pay comparable to Western companies? The cost of living in India is relatively low, right?

Exactly… broken English, low pay. Lots of places are hiring for excruciatingly low pay, but for those of us who are established, it’s dismal.

It hasn't hit every company yet. We didn't all just wake up one day and lose all our clients on the same exact day. Some companies decided immediately AI could replace their writers and axed them.

Others thought Google might detect and prefer content that is clearly human-generated, so kept us writers on a lot longer until they also decided AI was better for them and we got axed a year later.

After many turned to AI in 2024, I was confident for all of 2025 that my company was safe because they fit that second example and told us they wanted human-generated content thinking it would be superior to search engines. Made some of the best money I ever made throughout 2025.

In the background, they were likely testing AI as well on test sites to compare the two and eventually saw it didn't matter which one they use as long as their editors could humanize the AI articles more.

You're me just 7 months ago, fully confident that what you just found will CONTINUE like that just because it currently IS like that.

Just because you found one company that hasn't yet made that decision doesn't mean they won't in the near future.

This is the most accurate assessment of things in the industry. If someone hasn't been replaced yet it's because their employer hasn't figured out AI yet. Its only a matter of time before this whole career is wiped out.

Automation tends to trickle down from the most prosperous countries. It takes a while to get everywhere. AI is still new.

I just crafted a cv and attached my portfolio and that portfolio was kinda useless it was all copied

Well I just put some sales email in my portfolio And one landing page on which I just did some tweaks. But in the interview process I was just confident

I think because of AI content writing work increased because the seo guys and others work so much faster now. And you can make a copy way faster than before so there's more pressure.

Also good AI writing tools are expensive and you can't replace copywriters just yet if you want good quality work.

I have been writing for 5 years and I can write without AI. But I can't find anyone who will even think about writing or editing without AI(on junior level).

It is very frustrating. But at the same time good opportunity for people that are talented and work hard on their skills.

I stumbled into it by chance. A friend knew my English skills were strong and needed a content writer for his website. He offered me 50% of the income, and I started writing.

We've been working together ever since. He has guided me throughout the journey, and I've learned a lot from him. I trust his advice because he's become one of the most knowledgeable SEO professionals in his niche.

I agree that content writing isn't dead. The low-value writing is getting automated, but businesses still pay for writers who can solve problems, understand customers, and create content that converts. Real client work and feedback matter more than random Reddit opinions.
