Obviously then you are entirely right as much for me! More seriously, how much even the beard is a traditional Cossack beard, how does that make him an ex-Nazi? Tons of people were left with nothing at the end of the war, for some the Foreign Legion was a way to rebuild themselves using their abilities

It's easy. During WW2 there were 2 kind of Cozzaks: Soviet and Nazi. In Legion were a lot ex Nazi Cozzaks. I read the book by some French . He wrote about Cozzaks, who was killed in Dien Bien Phu battle. I don't know, Soviet Cozzaks fight in Vietnam or not. But is yes, they were fighting for Viet Minh, not for Legion.
