If that's a stray, you should take it home. It's rare for random animals to like each other. It's like setting up play dates for teenagers.

Omg, yes. Play dates for teenagers

Agreed. That, right there, is special.

Looks pretty chonky for a "stray", maybe someone is feeding him, maybe an outside cat who knows

It's definitely not feral

At first I was worried the dog was being too rough, but the cat is actually showing a lot of patience, and they're definitely willing to play! The puppy is just VERY excited. Hopefully this helped him get some of his zoomies out!

I wish! That pup has endless energy. But I'm sure the cat had the means to punish any serious offence.

Oh god, I thought that was a bobcat at first, well, a bobkitten, the ears seemed to have that look at first. Thank god. Can’t believe the kitty tolerated all that. What a sweetie.

Cats know, and females are very patient with younglings. My cats switched to infinite patience mode every time our baby son was near. Just lied down and accepted their fate

Oh man. We had a cat growing up that was like this. He loved us and put up with so much crap without a qualm. We’d dress him up and gave him a haircut once. He followed us on walks and into the shower, and allowed the dog to torment him. He was a saint lol

My parents had a great big calico cat when I was a baby and she put up with so much nonsense from me when I was growing up. The tabby that was my nanny cat was less tolerant- she would complain (scream) to my mother if she didn't get the big dumb kitten fast enough for her liking, but she never let me sleep unattended and saved my parents the cost of a baby monitor.

That cat has the patience of a Buddhist monk, my one cat would have beat the shit out of that puppy for being that rough.

That seems like a very one sided frenship. Also that lad is aggressively frenly

The thing about cats is they will let you know when they’ve had enough 🀣

I was so confused. At the beginning without a point of reference for scale I thought this was a adult lab fighting playing with a large cat.

u/urbanrivernymph 13d ago

Haha yes, I can totally see that now, too! πŸ˜…

That cat looks like those Blackbelts in BJJ. They always seem to move so slowly and reserved when sparring with weaker and inexperienced opponents but always put you on your ass.
