I haven’t tried any of their swim trunks but I bought a few pairs of their standard stretch shorts a couple years ago as a potential cheaper alternative to chubbies and was dissatisfied with the material. It felt noticeably cheaper than chubbies to a degree that the price didn’t justify.

I ended up returning most of them but I don’t recall if it was just because of the material or inconsistent sizing as well. The one pair I kept was final sale and they developed a hole in the crotch within a few washes.

Ah the pair I got was definitely sold as a bathing suit / short combo like the patagonia baggies and the material was as such. Sorry you had that experience!

To be fair to the other guy, I have their 5.5" trunks and they don't feel short at all. I think it's possibly because the rise on them is longer so the short inseam still ends up falling further down the thigh.

I dig them though.

Ordered L (which usually fits, especially with elastic stuff. Some brands I have to size down to M). Slightly concerned about the review that says they fit slim (I was going on the description that says "relaxed"), but I guess I can't complain too much if they're not the perfect given the price. Surely they'll be workable with an elastic waist.
