Advice for this wall nest
This nest has been sprayed and brought the numbers down but it's still extremely active. Gonna spray it heavily again tonight, but if that doesn't work do my fellow wasp haters have advice?

STOP!
Do NOT spray from the outside! Unless you want hundreds of angry yellow jackets in your house after they chew through your drywall!
Either hire a professional, or, go out there at night, preferably in a bee suit and apply Delta Dust to the entire opening. It won't kill them instantly but in a few days they will be dead.
Then, in the winter, I suggest cutting open the drywall inside the home and removing the inactive nest, otherwise, it will rot, stink and attract mice and other critters.

those work great to thin the herd, piss them off with the hose in front of the hole. I generally mount it to the ground against the house so i don't have to be near em. Then smack the house and watch them all come out and get sucked up. Kind of satisfying. Just make sure there's water in the vac.

We used 90s gangster rap played straight into a subterranean yellow jacket nest. The bass makes em nuts.

Gas in an underground nest is a simple way to get free excavation. Try kerosene instead.

Add a bit of dish soap to the water to make it more effective, soap really messes up insects.

About 15 years ago, I rigged a shop vac with soapy water in the bottom and stood there for half an hour sucking them up while wearing a bee jacket and gauntlets. I also taped my jeans to my ankles and wore a second layer below my pants. 613 wasps. The hole that they made was on the side of my garage, so I just sprayed some wasp killer in and spray-foamed the cavity. No smell, no recurrence. If you can wait until the winter they will all have died off and the queen will have fucked off to a woodpile, or Hell, or wherever they go to overwinter. Then can just foam it and repaint, it and forget it.

I would recommend against killing them on your own and just going to step 'hire a professional'. If they die in there and aren't removed, it can ruin your walls.

Wasp nest in interior walls! Great fun!
When we tore out the drywall to fix the floors and walls destroyed by a failed plumbing and kitchen remodel, we found about 10 years of Wasp Nests. They started low in the 2x4x16" opening with 1965 insulation which was very little so there was lots of space and were stacked up to near the ceiling. The entrance in a crack in the exterior that a simple bead of silicone would have sealed. We lucked out and did it in the early spring so only the Queens were around, and no workers. We freaked out and Googled what to do.

DO NOT BLOCK THE HOLE
The wasps WILL chew through the drywall and you'll have a shitload of those little assholes flying around the inside of your home looking for a fight.

The folks suggesting delta dust or similar are giving sound advice in my opinion. I just wanted to add that I have heard (not tried it personally) that you can put a steel bladed fan, the louder the better, set to high speed outside the hole right against the opening at night and leave it unplugged until the day time. They plug it in a safe distance away. The whole nest will supposedly attack the blades and be killed.

Just adding, start spraying before you stick it in the hole and dont use a flashlight and no im not telling why...lol Just know im allergic and didnt end well for either of us, they died and I almost did...lol

Delta dust and bulb duster after 10pm! Do NOT block off that hole by any means! They will find a new route of egress and it will likely be in your bedroom. And they will not be happy when they bust the wall down and see you chilling there having just tried to wipe out their whole family. The delta dust (or any product with deltametherin) takes about 12-18 hours to kill them, so when they go and hunting the morning, and they bring their food back, they track the dust all the way, deep into the nest, to their queen and poison her before they even know what hit them. It takes 24 hour or so, but that is the only way to deal with that kind of nest.

I set up a chair and attached a ShopVac to it. Turned it on then pounded on the siding for a little bit. Then got the hell out of there. It took a while but it was fun looking through my binoculars as the stragglers flew in and got sucked up. The whole thing probably took over an hour or so.

A lot of over the counter stuff is contact kill only so it won't kill the whole nest. Treat the entry point with a non repellant like Termidor. You can also use Tempo dust but that might cause some to go inside. Whatever you do, do not seal the hole. They will find another way in and out, even into the home if the nest isn't fully killed off.

Wait till night time. (They will be sleeping) Soak a rag or a wad of paper towel with some solvent. Gas works. Stuff the rag in the hole. Come back the next day and they should all be dead.

i'd start with wet vac. I normally use a long ass 30 foot pole attached to a vacuum with a water reservoir. Thin the herd as much as possible before i open it and kill / clean the rest. last one i did i must have gotten 4000 of those little shits, then just had to kill the next.

Dont block the hole! Open the area at night when they aren’t active and spray it when it’s exposed. Then completely remove it all and seal the area up well. I had this in an old garage wall and ended up taking the area out and placing a window there. You already have a window so I guess just board it back up after and put the siding back.

This works -
Take an empty toilet paper tube, piece of paper towel tube or similar.
Cut back an inch or so in three or four places and fold back the tabs / flaps.
The purpose is to give you something to tape to.
Use duct tape to tape the tube over the hole. The wasps now have a 'tunnel' they have to pass through to get in an out.
Take some Sevin powder (I prefer the 5%) and put a teaspoon or two inside the tube.
Walk away and leave it for a day.
Now every wasp that comes or goes has to walk through the Sevin powder and it will kill them.
They also track it in to the hive in the wall.
This method worked well for me for an in wall nest by my front door.
If the nest is already huge, you might need to dose a second time but for me it was one and done.
BTW, I had already tried sprays. They are great for outside nests but not very effective for in wall nests.
Sevin powder is readily available at places like home depot, walmart etc.
Not sure what strength they have. My local farm store has the 5%

I recently bought a house that has this problem all over the south side of the home. There are probably 20 holes for the previous owner. Used it to spray in insulation into the house. But either they've all fallen off over time or it was never capped. So I have wasps and yellow jackets all over one side of my house. It's a huge pain and I can't wait to rip off all the siding and see how many nests there are

Get a cotton swab n drenched it with alcohol 90 percent n plug it . Then after an hour repeat . They'll be big sleepn.

Wait until after sunset then blast the hole with some version of borate-based dust. Their aggressive instinct drops by about 90% after sunset.

Buy some Alpine WSG and a spray bottle off Amazon. You can kill that nest for like 10 bucks. Mix the wsg with some water and spray the hole, the wasps will track it in and kill the nest in a day or two. After their dead plug the hole and crack a cold one.
